Vestigial mouths and noses, no genitalia - they have to be constructs, grown in vats or something.
These are worker drones - we haven't seen the leaders yet.
But the cattle mutilations, the mouths and -------- being targeted, make me think there are no leaders left - it's just a bunch of dumb drones, mindlessly carrying out their functions. Hence no leadership and no contact. But still trying to understand?
Whatever created the Greys is probably long gone, and all they left behind was some old space trash still doing its job a billion years later.

Agreed. They are such advanced hardware, "grown in vats" seems diminishing. Imagine an actual invasion, something to give back to their makers. This is a terrible end game, mutual destruction is inevitable.

Yes. I've got this awesome 1950's black Armani suit and matching sunglasses. Soon I'll show up on your doorstep with a couple greys in tow, and we'll wipe your memory.

That is the threat though, isn't it? They use mental conditioning, tools that control your recognition and override emotional status. Paralysis, fear and obedience are ubiquitous with the greylian experience. They are not emotional, recognizing how literally they manipulate ours makes them obvious constructs.
Rewatching Prometheus is painful.. the viewer wants those "scientists" to die so early on, but it's the stupid impregnation and birthday party we have to anticipate. God, what a terribly underwhelming delivery such as delibertely removing helmets, 'cause the stupids. I take it we are the only ones who experienced science fiction, their world seems oblivious to space parasite architecture. So, the greys would fall under control of the Navy? This military endeavor deserves extreme scrutiny. They obviously have outgrown their assigned purpose of belaying tech and now directly modify society, and quite negatively by most accounts. Perhaps equipping science and tech with emotional intelligence allows a breadth of reactions, rather than sheer denial. Anyhow, the redactions that Rcade inserts are so funny, I absolutely feel we should pay him for each one.
