Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) condemned President Trump's retweet earlier Sunday morning of a video showing a supporter in Florida chanting "white power" during an interview on CNN. When asked about his reaction to the President's retweet, Scott first replied that "there is no question he should not have retweeted it" and that it should be taken down.

When asked about his reaction to the President's retweet, Scott first replied that "there is no question he should not have retweeted it" and that it should be taken down.

Pressed again by CNN's Jake Tapper about whether the retweet offends him, given how he's asking the question as a white person who's offended by it, Scott noted that CNN couldn't air the video in its entirety due to excessive profanity before conceding that "the entire thing was offensive."

I've never watched a President and presidency meltdown in real time like this one is doing. At a moment where racial injustice towards black Americans has pushed millions of people into streets all over the world even as we struggle with a global pandemic, Donald Trump continues to blow the horn of white supremacy and white grievance in language not seen since George Wallace in 1968.

The Republican Party is headed towards a record defeat this fall, not simply because the Democratic candidates are far superior, but because the leader of their party seems to be more interested in becoming the 2nd President of the Confederacy more than he wants to address the problems, issues, and concerns of the most diverse America ever - as it becomes even more diverse with each and every passing day.

Tim Scott seems like a good guy and a nice human being.
I understand trying to change his political party From the inside.

But man, at some point you have to realize it's a lost cause and your own political party hates you just because of the color of your own skin.

It would be fun if not so dangerous for the nation.

"language not seen since George Wallace in 1968."

I guess you mean, not seen on the national stage.

Because we've been hearing that kind of stuff here since long before Trump.

I guess you mean, not seen on the national stage.

Of course, not seen by a viable candidate for President.

Make no mistake about it, the next time little donnie dollhands needs him Tim Scott will be there.

His Uncle Ruckus, no relation, schooled him him up on how to get into white people heaven.

Taking away his keyboard won't make the Dotard any less of a piece of s**t. It will just make it more comfortable for idiots to vote for him..

Yap.

He will cease to be a blithering racist idiot if he just stops tweeting.

That'll fix it.

It's sort of like testing for the virus.

If we simply stop testing it will magically vanish.
