Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The president has privately come to that grim realization in recent days, multiple people close to him told POLITICO, amid a mountain of bad polling and warnings from some of his staunchest allies that he's on course to be a one-term president.

Let's change up the Presidential term with a prison term

" one-term president."

Pffftt ~~ he was never even a one day president.

If it's true that Trump has thrown in the towel, the people on his enemies list best watch their back. He'll take as many as he can down with him, even if he has to burn the house down to do it.

Trump is nothing if not full of spite, hate and revenge.

He wants to lose. He has reportedly received thousands of letters and emails from everyday normal Americans that want to see someone else's head under the guillotine.
They want to see sleepy Joe bitem and camela-toe under the gun.
They want to use all the names and epitaphs they've learned in the past 3 years.

It's what Hitler did.

I just quibble with a few words: Hitler knew that he'd lost and refused to throw in the towel. Malignant narcissists and that whole pride thing.

So, yes. A significant chance Trump will really act-out in the next several months exists. Malignant narcissists put us into a strange boat, because the behavior of Trump Triumphant may have looked strangely similar to that of Trump humiliated.

Ah, four dimensional chess again. Except with little dried pieces of sh-- on the board rather than figurines.

I stopped apologizing for comparing Trump to Hitler ages ago. They had the same personality. What differentiates Hitler from Trump is that Hitler was a serious and talented man,

Don't get me wrong. I thank God for every failure of being on Trump's part just like I think a previous generation was thankful for whatever gift of bizarreness they got from Hitler when fighting him. But Trump has enough talent to light a match, so let's NOT get lazy about him.

"I stopped apologizing for comparing Trump to Hitler ages ago."

stopped? that implies you started apologizing....when did that happen?

But remember, nobody noticed the comparison anyway.

You compared GWB, Romney, and basically every single candidate for president with an "R" after their name to Hitler as well.

So it's not like you put any thought into it before hurling that comparison.

You just do it.

If Trump ramps up the campaign donations and reduces spending from that campaign, he could see a nice little nest egg come his way in the near future, enough for the equity portion of his new hotel and resort in Moscow, Sochi, the beaches of North Korea or any other destination his despot pals will take him...

The problem isn't that I notice character flaws in leaders, EB. The problem is that places like Kansas see fit to give them and their flaws power.

Trumkpibunkerboi doesn't need to be compared to Hitler or should the mostly nuggetless white supreme wannabees compared to Nazis... just because some of their behavior echos past cultural failures.

The righty tighty whities are slipshod groups of guys suffering from the butt-hurt of increased competition in the workplace. They seem unable to move on after losses. Too lazy to recreate themselves they try to re-write the past.

Trump has too much legal baggage to lose the election. He will resign and President Pence will pardon his treason. Count on it.

Trump has been a loser from the start.

Even losers get lucky sometimes.

I think that's a possibility. But I doubt if his ego will let him do it.

Trump is a genuine sociopath. He does not believe he's done anything wrong. Ever.

WHATSLEFT

Trump also hates being called a loser, too. And he's knows that word is going to be ringing in his head for years.

I think what he does depends on what happens to the Senate in November. If he loses both houses, he's dead meat anyway. He never had the foresight to build a coalition with the Democrats. They'll drag him over hot coals and broken glass for the next 4 years at least.

GETOFFMEDZ

"Trump has too much legal baggage to lose the election."

He has too much legal baggage to stay in office, too. If he loses both Houses of Congress, especially the Senate (likely), all that "baggage" is going to get him impeached (again) and this time CONVICTED.

He's in for 40 miles of bad road no matter which way he goes.

#17 - Unless he resigns and is pardoned like I wrote. Basically, pull a Nixon. His only way out.

I agree. Trumpy is a sociopath. Trumpy will never resign. I expect him to double down as he always does when cornered and he will dispute the results of the election and throw the country into an even deeper crisis. I doubt he will transfer power peacefully.

There's no going back for Trumpy. He has to win to stay out of the courts and possibly prison in order to protect his ill gotten gains.

He never 'won' to begin with...
without Russia that is...

I hope Trump quits and Pence pardons him.
It won't save him from state charges.

I hope Trump resigns unannounced and leaves Barr holding the bag.
