The intelligence that assessed there was an effort by a Russian military intelligence unit to pay the Taliban to kill US soldiers was included in one of President Donald Trump's daily briefings on intelligence matters sometime in the spring, according to a US official with direct knowledge of the latest information.

Putin's cock-holster is far too busy botching the pandemic response to read his PDBs.

Donald J. Trump
Fact--Obama does not read his intelligence briefings nor does he get briefed in person by the CIA or DOD. Too busy I guess!

".... was included in one of President Donald Trump's daily briefings on intelligence matters..."

Well duh... no wonder he didn't see it.

If the DNI actually wanted Trump to see the PDB first thing in the morning he'd put it on Fox and Friends.

But seriously, Trump has screwed himself either way it goes with his public pronouncements of not having been briefed about the bounties. If he's telling the truth, then why in the hell would he not take his responsibility to protect and defend America seriously enough to read a daily brief telling him what's going on in the world with implications to America?

Although we've known this since he was inaugurated because many stories have been written about how Trump is loathe to receive briefings because they bore him, he REALLY can't take himself away from self aggrandizement and mean tweeting Joe Biden and Barack Obama long enough to find out that Russia was actively trying to use an enemy to target American soldiers under his watch?

I mean, one of these days the GOP Senate has got to get somewhat concerned about how Trump isn't even trying to fulfill his responsibilities outside of getting himself re-elected for reasons he can't even articulate. Every time you think Trump has hit absolute rock bottom he manages to bore deeper into even more reprehensible conduct or levels of negligence.

BREAKING: Undercutting WH claims that Trump was never briefed on suspected Russian bounty operation & info was not solid enough to tell him about, it was in his written briefing (PDB) 4 months ago - likely Feb 27 - & was circulated broadly in IC on May 4.

Trump Got Written Briefing in February on Possible Russian Bounties, Officials Say

The investigation into Russia's suspected operation is said to focus in part on the killings of three Marines in a truck bombing last year, officials said.

Then-national security adviser John Bolton also told colleagues he briefed Trump on the intelligence assessment in March 2019," the AP reported.

Putin owns Trump. This and Trump's reaction is proof.

All those cult45s with their better Russian than Democrat T-shirts have chosen Russia over America.

Before Trump was inaugurated I told everyone here that Trump is a traitor, now he goes and proves it. I occurs to me that if you still support him then you are also a traitor.

Biden: Russia bounty issue shows Trump "doesn't seem to be cognitively aware"

...Joe Biden used President Trump's denials about intelligence on reported Russian bounties on American soldiers in Afghanistan to question the president's mental ability during a campaign appearance on Tuesday.

What he's saying: "He talks about cognitive capability. He doesn't seem to be cognitively aware of what's going on. He either reads and/or gets briefed on important issues " and then forgets it " or he doesn't think it's necessary that he need to know it."

- "So the idea that somehow he didn't know or isn't being briefed, it is a dereliction of duty if that's the case. And if he was briefed and nothing was done about this, that's a dereliction of duty," the former vice president added....

@#12 ... "The President was not aware" ...

(I'm not saying the quote is your opinion, I just quoted something you quoted)

OK, let's for now go with the excuse that Pres Trump was not aware earlier this year.

Well, as of this past weekend, he is aware of it, he has even commented on it.

So why is he not doing anything about it?

So why is he not doing anything about it?

He's still hoping it's not true, just like he was in March of 2020 when Bolton told him the same story.

His life philosophy that things will just eventually go away if he ignores them was put in play here just as it was with COVID-19. He's the antithesis to the quality 'taking initiative;' fully embodies the worst components of apathy; while simultaneously presenting himself as the greatest defender of democracy the planet has ever witnessed.

In short, he's nothing more than a god damn conman.

It should be noted that George W. Bush was also duly informed of Al Quaeda's intention to attack us and he blew off the intel that was hand delivered to his ranch in Texas. Republican President don't pay attention to intelligence because if they did their own actions and the repercussions of those actions would also be in the reports. No, they "fly by the seat of their pants" and hope for the best which, usually, becomes the worst.

We should look at Trump as what he has always been, a showman, a loud mouth, an irresponsible racist a*****e. He should never been President and I doubt even his most ardent supporters disagree with that in their secret truthful moments.
