Jonathan Chait: The good news for President Trump's campaign is that the candidate seems to be finally moving out of the denial stage and recognizing that he is losing to Joe Biden. Trump "has privately come to that grim realization in recent days," multiple sources have told Politico.

Trump regrets having followed the Kushner-led ploy of trying to appeal to Black voters. "One person who spoke with the president interpreted his thinking this way: "No more of Jared's woke ----," reports Swan.

From the axios.com article mentioned in the cited article...

Scoop: Trump regrets Kushner advice on prison reform
www.axios.com

...Another senior White House official pushed back against Axios' reporting, saying: "Numerous anonymous sources have attempted to provide separation between Jared and the president. They have failed for the last three and a half years. They are not going to be successful today either."...

So is this just yet another of the many "Real Life of White House Staff" episodes?

Or is this significant?

Time will tell...

Scoop: Trump regrets Kushner advice on prison reform

One of the few positive things Trump has accomplished as POTUS, and he regrets it.

FTA: Trump reportedly believes this message will activate a "silent majority" that may have previously hesitated to vote for him because he had grown too anti-racist.

The Trump we've seen for the past 4 years has been anti-racist?

So... gas chambers and people hanging from nooses is his strategy for the next 4 months?

Jokes aside. Trump's new strategy for a win in November is racism.

Hitler would be proud.

This combover was always a one trick pony. How the South is so besmitten by an obvious East coast hukster is telling.. their reality is only what is televised. They really ate up The Apprentice and wanted that man as POTUS. I wish I had spent any time watching, he seemed so outside of his lane at the time and continually ever since. The border wall? It's a jobs program. Filthy desert prisons, abusive prison guards, pricey prison food crafts services, bullets and guns manufacturing - everything you don't want focused internally unless you are Russia or China. Those authoritarian values and stock programs go against prison reform.

How the South is so besmitten by an obvious East coast hukster is telling..

He championed Birtherism and told an angry mob them he would return America to a time when white people weren't ashamed of the nation's past atrocities.

He told them Mexicans are rapists and criminals coming to America to hurt and steal from us.

He told them Muslims are flying in by the plane full to take away our freedoms.

He told them he would build a wall, stop people from Islamic countries from coming here, and destroy liberalism.

He is the confederacy's chance at winning the civil war, in the year 2020.

He has rolled America back to the 1950s.

He moved the long-time GOP Stay in Office by Fearmongering Campaign to a new level, no doubt.

Now he just has to outdo himself this time... offend more groups of people, scare the crap outta the Base; check, check. Grab a P or 3.

But he'll need some help from those whose favorite candidate didn't win the Dem nomination. Not the candidate himself, mind you, but some of his most self-serving supporters.

That is implying whom? The DNC? Absolutely. They have yet to produce even one good ad. It's astounding, and so late in the game - the DNC are attempting to appeal to those same Trump base morons, totally disregarding progressives. The world is changing quickly, but never the DNC.

Did you watch the Hillary/Trump debates? She maintains decorum at all costs, is slow and non-confrontational. I don't believe she ever speaks directly to Trump addressing his allegations or lies. Very similar to how he rode over Jeb.

Trump is on accellerants. He snorts and sniffles and goes on tangents, trumpeting like Adolf.

He told them he would build a wall

He built a wall all right.

It's just around civilized nations, keeping sickly Americans out.

Who needs to, when your opponent and his former party members are doing such a bang-up job? Have you seen the polls lately? The DNC's strategery is working!

He rolled us back to the Fifties without any of the good stuff.

I've often thought that the years of Trump has been an Age of Aquarius for the Far Right, but without the fun.
