Eric Levitz: Over the past month, Joe Biden has opened up a double-digit lead over Donald Trump in national polls. That same period witnessed the following milestones in American political life: For the first time since the movement's inception, Black Lives Matter won the support of a large majority of voters -- and a slim majority of white ones.

Yes, the rumor is that Trump's a bit put off with Jared, because it was Jared who first advised Trump, albeit before the George Floyd situation, that he really needed to develop a message to attract more 'voters of color'. Trump wasn't all thst keen on the idea then, and he certainly isn't now.

My God that man is stupid. How did he ever get elected, his instincts are all wrong. Still, he may be right, I Dunno.

In 2016 Trump was the inkblot on a Rorschach Test. People saw what they wanted to see. Now it's 2020 and that misconception doesn't exist any more.

Let's go with that for the next 121 days.

This may be where Pres Trump's apparent lack of empathy will come back to haunt him.

Because that lack of empathy, he is unable to see things as others see and experience them. As a result, he seems to project his views and feelings upon everyone else.

Even when those views are egregiously racist.

Well if anybody wondered how a modern day George Wallace would do in a head to head Presidential race, we're about to find out. I want to believe the best of America, so I'm hoping for a record setting loss for Combover Quisling.

There is only one point in the article that is not an opinion. The rest is partisan hate. If we could get the media to concentrate on the parts that everyone agrees on instead of hating each other for not having the same opinions, we could move forward. Instead, we just stay stagnant and Libs continue to penalize people for not having the same opinion as them, regardless if the facts show they are wrong or at least show there is evidence that supports both sides.

@#7 ... There is only one point in the article that is not an opinion. The rest is partisan hate. ...

I saw a lot of facts being presented in the article, with links to the underlying sources of those facts.

Instead of trying to deflect the conversation away to the usual "media bad" meme, maybe you could try to show the points you disagree with and provide a rebuttal?

Still struggling with that whole "reading comprehension" thing?

There were at least ten facts quoted in the article.

I guess you didn't catch Trump's Fourth of July speech where he spent the entire time attacking half the country.

You would really have to be a self-loathing black person to still support Trump at this point.

He is what people choose to see. Those that support him see him a WHOLE LOT differently than those that do not. It however remains amazing how many think the left and progressives are all just nuts and would rather have Trump even when they see him for what he is. Don't get me wrong the extreme ideas that make the news can be pretty off putting to anyone not on the extreme end. For Example - "Disband the Police", CHOP or whatever it is, etc.

The latest results are based on a June 8-30 Gallup poll. While Trump's overall job approval rating is essentially unchanged from the prior May 28-June 4 poll, it does show some improvement among Republicans, from 85% to 91%.

However, the current poll also indicates the president's approval rating has dropped among independents, from 39% to 33%, as well as among Democrats, from 5% to 2%....

He got elected by manipulating the disenfranchised voters in middle America, evangelicals voting on abortion only, voter suppression efforts in many states and racist whites. What surprised me is how many young Bernie voters supported him. I about smacked a couple of them I know in the head to wake them up from their ignorance at the time. They "just didn't want the status quo"...
