Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Donald Trump is a supervillain with weaknesses that may well destroy him, no matter how much he rages. He's turned a great republic into a comic-opera version of every Third World kleptocracy, with everything right down to its own Uday and Qusay. From that fateful day in 2015 until this year, the impenetrable reality distortion field around Trump was immune to things like consequence, accountability and the law. While this election is a long way from over, Donald Trump's position today is the weakest of any incumbent president since Jimmy Carter.

"Americans blame Trump."

And Trump, the Lex Luther of Washington D.C., blames America for not recognizing his genius.

This time circa 2016, Pres Trump was not super popular, yet he won anyway.

There is a big difference (not the only difference, but "a" difference) between 2016 and 2020...

Ms Clinton's "very unfavorables" were much higher back then than Mr Biden's "very unfavorables" are now.

That is one of the reasons why the Trump campaign is trying to dig up negative, ummmm, stuff on Mr Biden --- to bring Mr Biden's "very unfavorables" up.

So far, they trump campaign has not been successful, but they will be trying harder in the future.

Keep that in mind.

After all these years I have yet to hear an honest, truth based reason that is neither racist, fundamentalist, nor greed related for supporting Trump. It is all based on selfishness and hatred of others.

It'll be interesting to see what charges and investigations Barr decides to announce against Biden in the next couple months.

I don't think Barr has a scintilla of credibility with any reasonable voters who have been paying attention. He might be able to convince a few percent of voters in crucial swing states to turn on Biden though.

One of the few upsides of COVID-19 is that many people who normally would be too busy to focus on Trump-GOP-Barr's lies now have much more free time to evaluate them thoroughly. Keeping my fingers crossed that a fooled man won't get fooled again into supporting Trump.

I get the feeling Barr's whole mission is to push everything as far as he can so the next republican president can cite some sort of precedent.

But when there's a democrat in the white house republicans will no doubt cry foul and stonewall as much as humanly possible.
