We won't ever get real justice for the (checks today's number) 137,660 who died from Trump's failure.

Poetic justice, on the other hand, is just getting started, as the pandemic rages unchecked through Sarah Palin's Real America.

Zero sympathy. Just think, not too many years ago when religion ruled the world, all you would have is thoughts and prayers. These people want to take society back to even more ignorant times. Science and medicine is saving this putz. I hope if he gets well that he wakes up to reality.

One would suppose he's also 'pro-life.' (They're actually 'pro-birth')

What small effort would contribute more to SAVING lives than wearing a mask during a pandemic?

Something ever epidemiologist in the world says is one of only three things necessary to thwart the spread of COVID-19:

- Wear a mask in public spaces
- Maintain 6' distance from other
- Wash your hands well

A few weeks from now headlines like this will be so common that the underlying event will no longer be news.

Talking about politicians, here in Okiehomie the Edmond City Council is meeting tonight to address--again--the possible mandate to wear a mask in public. Just for fun (and not for safety) the council meeting will be a giant Zoom call, and not held in person. Just because...

I know a way to fix the no-mask wearing problem real quick: If someone is hospitalized for coronavirus that didn't regularly wear a mask, that fact gets counted against them if hospital staff are forced to decide who to try to save and who to let die. Right now if hospitals become overwhelmed and ICU beds are scarce, elderly people and those with pre-existing conditions are less likely to get treatment in favor of younger, healthier people. But why should younger, healthier people who wouldn't wear masks get preferential treatment over older and/or less health people who stayed at home and only went out while wearing masks if it was absolutely essential?

rationing care?

I've joked about doing that with smokers and/or morbidly obese folks. I was called a cold-hearted bastard for it.

If the need to ration care occurs, smokers and the morbidly obese will likely be among those who are passed over in favor of others without those medical liabilities:

Arizona's rules for rationing healthcare in the COVID-19 pandemic should terrify you

In brief, the rules allow hospitals to deny critical healthcare resources such as ventilators to patients based on medical judgments about their likelihood of living even five more years despite surviving COVID-19.

In practical terms, that means that on average, older adults are more likely to be denied care than younger persons. Those with medical conditions other than COVID-19 would be more vulnerable to denials than those judged to be healthier, whatever their age.

Under the rules, doctors making triage judgments that deprive patients of necessary care will be immune from legal liability.

Arizona's so-called crisis standards of care, or CSC, isn't unique among the states. But it provides an up-to-the-minute look at the harsh choices facing medical personnel across the country . . . .

#16 - Eberly, the fact is right now in Arizona and Texas, that's exactly what is happening. Care is being rationed by overwhelmed hospitals. They are having to make decisions based on who is more likely to survive.

Thoughts and prayers!!

On second thought I take that back. When your ego and political party is more important than your health / life as well as those around you, you don't deserve any thoughts or prayers.

The party of "ProLife" is certainly having a difficult time proving that position. Lol

Michael Moore's display of the 3rd Reich Wing / republikkklans in America in his film 11/9 is proving to be accurate. If you haven't watched it I recommend you do. Infact there is plenty of meat material in there that can be used as campaign ads against Trump and the R-tards.

I did not see his apology and his desire for forgiveness.

Anyway. It's to late to apologize to the hundreds of thousands of dead or dying Americans.

And I am not feeling very forgiving to someone who has not even asked for forgiveness.

"Waldron has served as St. Johns County Commissioner since 2016 and had planned to run unopposed for the office again in 2020."

unopposed. and he was one of 3 who voted against masks.

But if he recovers, perhaps he can publicly reverse his position and admit his previous policy was foolish and apologize.
