...Do not simply discard these seeds as they can potentially germinate and escape into nature, Ong said. All cases should be reported to USDA and all packages should be kept secure until USDA gives further instructions.

All incidences of receipt of these unrequested seeds should be reported to USDA-APHIS by sending an email to Carol Motloch, USDA-APHIS' Texas PPQ state operations coordinator, at The email should include a contact email and phone number as well as a description of package information. Sending a photo of the label and material would also be helpful....

Just as I predicted

Obama's Texas invasion is well underway

Is like, a government person or someone going to take the time to actually see what kind(s) of seeds they are?

That would seem like an important component to the story alongside "why."

That's just me.

Yes, the cited main article mentions that TDA (Texas Dept of Agriculture) is working with the USDA to analyze what the seeds are.

I'd suspect agriculture departments in other states are analyzing the seeds as well.

I read on a untrustworthy site (Epoch Times) that the seeds may be Ricin or Kudzu.

These were sent by the Aliens.
They are Freeze Dried Martians.

I read they are giant bean seeds
If you plant them you can climb it all the way to Brexit land where you are met by a dreamy Marco Rubio
Sounds delightful!

So excited

Got a pack in todays mail. Obviously misdelivered as it was addressed to 'Diego Pellicer' in Denver.
Think I'll take a chance and start some.

Free Goya bean seeds! I'm going to make the best potato salad with my TrumpGoya products from the "international" aisle.

I heard it was a species of Bamboo but I can't find the article.

Local news is reporting that companies are shipping to you to generate a fake sale to make fake reviews on amazon that show as verified purchaser. Apparently it's not only seed but also empty bags, rubber bands pretty much any junk to generate a "sale".

- that the seeds may be Ricin or Kudzu.

Ricin, maybe. I don't think Kudz would fit in the package; he's put on a few pounds, ya know!

I 'spect we'll find out that these seeds were mailed from NRA headquarters in an attempt to blame China for gun control.

Amazing. Unknown seeds from communist China and only the author had a serious comment about it. Children populate this site.

Children populate this site.

You do understand that you are one of them, correct?

"Unknown seeds from chicoms"

Calm down, it's not a batch of trump fanboy hats

What all my "clients" are saying is that this is just part of trumps "October surprise"
they say to show your support for trump you are supposed to place the seeds in your ears and water daily.
This apparently insurers you a place on the sacred scrolls and no harm will come to during the great QAnon purge thats sure to happen after the first of the year
Rest easy willow, soon will come the day everyone will realize it's them and not you

Getting that way. Contaminated from all the sophomoric comments that are the staple of this site. Tried to resist, but I'll be as ridiculous as the rest of you.

I heard about this yesterday, the person reported that the package was shipped from China and had not been ordered. The suspicion is that China wants Americans to plant invasive foreign species. Not really a laughing matter.

@#10 ... Local news is reporting that companies are shipping to you to generate a fake sale to make fake reviews on amazon that show as verified purchaser. ...

Another aspect of this...

When you buy something using paypal from an ecommerce site, paypal will charge you even if you do not receive the merchandise.

There seems to be wording in their customer protection agreement that says all the vendor has to do is provide a tracking number that shows delivery to the city of the person who purchased the item. The item does not have to be shipped to the person's address, just the person's city.

My friend got caught in this scam recently.

She purchased a picture frame. She received a tracking number, and eventually the tracking number showed delivery, but she never got anything. Also the weight listed with the tracking number was ounces, not the four pounds for the frame.

A complaint with paypal was closed in favor of the vendor because the tracking number showed delivery to her city.

She was out about $50, and someone in her city got a packet of seeds.

If you get any, DO NOT PLANT THEM OR GET THEM WET. If you do they will sprout after midnight to form our reptilian overlords. These seeds were engineered in the basement of a pizzeria in Wuhan China by Dr Fauci and paid for by Bill Gates. They are using delta brainwaves to control us, and only a helmet like Magneto's or one fashioned with aluminum foil can help protect you, but you must be on a strict regiment of hydroxychloroquine. This is the only way to stay safe from the demon sperm or "seeds from China".

When my seeds arrive, I will plant them along the backyard property line fence, mingled with the catnip and burrs, because empiricism. Some them look like sunflower and citrus seeds. We'll see what comes up. Maybe they're space alien plants that talk and glow in the dark.

Wow PayPal has changed their rules, about 10 years ago if a customer complained to PayPal they were presumed correct and the vendor had to jump through hoops to get paid. I had a customer who had an issue and they froze his account over a 75 dollar order when he had close to 5k in there. Tracking showed delivered to the customers house and said left by side door. The customer checked and sure enough it was there. It was two weeks later before PayPal unfroze his account.
