The eighth-term Republican told CNN last month that he was not wearing a mask because he was being tested regularly for the coronavirus.

Well...clearly, the test caused it.

Now will everyone, including AG Barr, have to be quarantined since Gohmert, sans a mask, took part in the House Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday? And then there's the video showing AG Barr and Gohmert walking together, without masks, heading for yesterday's committee meeting:

Hmmm, no sh--. Guy has likely been flying in and out of town, traversing airports, and DC is also a hotspot of COVID.
A lot of vectors of exposure and... he got the 'Rona.

Such a surprise!

Is being a dick a requirement for joining the Republican Party? Do you have to take some sort of Oath of Dickishness? Because their behavior can't all be explained away by ignorance.

Remember, masks protect those around a person with the virus, they don't prevent you from getting the virus. So Gohmert risked the lives of everyone around him just because he wouldn't wear a mask.

I think it says you have to be one CBOB in the Republican Party platform.

Just a micro example of the Republicans as a whole. In their ignorance and even criminal negligence Republicans are risking the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans every day.

It might actually be better for society if Louie gohmert does pass away from the Coronavirus.

He's pretty much a worthless Congress jerk as it is and if he does pass away we may start behaving in a dignified and unified manner befitting Americans and finally do whatever it takes to get this virus under control.

#20 | Posted by Tor at 2020-07-29 01:44 PM | Reply

Now he's saying he might have gotten the virus from... wearing a face mask.

"It's really ironic because a lot of people have made a really big deal out of my not wearing a mask a whole lot, but in the last week or two, I have worn a mask more than I have in the whole last four months. I can't help but wonder if by keeping a mask on and keeping it in place, if I might have put some germs, some of the virus on the mask and breathed it in. I don't know but I got it."

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has tested positive for the novel coronravirus " but that didn't stop him from showing up to his office and talking with his staffers on Wednesday morning.

According to ABC News reporter Katherine Faulders, Gohmert "returned to his Capitol Hill office and told staff he wanted to inform them *in person* instead of finding out from news reports."

Faulders adds that "some staffers were already in the process of leaving" the office to avoid potentially getting infected with COVID-19 when Gohmert arrived.

Raw Story

"Good morning, everyone! Hey Jimmie, how ya doing? Come here and give me a hug, big guy! So anyway, the reason why I came in this morning is because I thought you all should know that..."

You don't have to. It does not have a sociopathic ego like Humpy. It pays no attention to cheerleaders like Humpy. The virus will continue do its thing regardless of how we feel about it. Whether we cheer or condemn it does not affect it. It's just an fricking algorithm. It's actually easy to defeat.

Our President is Allowing America to be being defeated and humiliated and letting Americans die from a fricking algorithm because he cannot do simple addition and multiplication much less exponential math.

Also, apparently, at least up until today, Gohmert had not allowed any of his staff to work from home since he wanted his office to be a model of how America could be open for business like normal.

Gohmert suggests without evidence that wearing mask contributed to contracting coronavirus
www.axios.com

...Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) on Wednesday released a video statement about his coronavirus diagnosis, suggesting without evidence that wearing a mask may have contributed to testing positive....

And back to the report about Gohmert not letting any of his office staff to work remotely, this include the three unpaid interns that worked in his Washington office. Also, he told them that they could wear face masks when he wasn't there, but when he was there, with or without guests, he didn't want to see them in masks because he wanted outside people to get the impression that everything was OK again.

Louie Gohmert proves on a daily basis why he is America's dumbest congress critter.

His staff had the pleasure of him telling them IN PERSON that he had tested positive after months of him DEMANDING all full time and part time staffers be IN THE OFFICE and would often berate people for wearing a mask.

He is a miserable POS poster child for the GOP.

Someone needs to create a web site dedicated to just keeping track of all the right wingers who refused to take COVID19 seriously and follow CDC recommendations because it seems to me that we are learning about several a week getting the virus and some, like Herman Cain, actually dying. I think we need to build a database that could be used to prove that conservative politics is dangerous to your health.
