During June 17"20, an overnight camp in Georgia (camp A) held orientation for 138 trainees and 120 staff members; staff members remained for the first camp session, scheduled during June 21"27, and were joined by 363 campers and three senior staff members on June 21. Camp A adhered to the measures in Georgia's Executive Order that allowed overnight camps to operate beginning on May 31, including requiring all trainees, staff members, and campers to provide documentation of a negative viral SARS-CoV-2 test 12 days before arriving.

Trump and DeSantis just don't care. The economy is more important than lives. Fortunately for S. Florida, our leadership is more concerned with health than commerce. Too bad for people in other parts of the state where leadership is more interested in pleasing Trump than saving lives.

Protest has always been OK, drunky.

I realize you've never protested anything, but you don't do it confined to a building for seven hours, breathing recirculated air, touching doorknobs hundreds of other students have touched.

I'm expecting my kid's district to cancel in school class, or at least have some hybrid where they rotate kids in class throughout the week and supplement with online material. If they don't, I'll probably protest and keep my kids home. Its too bad, because the oldest is going into her senior year.

I've taught at as an adjunct so I can say that developing teaching material initially takes a lot of work. These teachers are going to be busting their a--ses off putting all this together. I hope they took advantage of the summer months to develop material.

There is no evidence that significant spread occurred during the protests.

Stop saying this as if it's a point worth making.

Mommies and Daddies don't send their kids out to protest but they do decide if they are going to send them to school. Protesters may be young adults but they aren't school aged children.

"But protests are still OK, right?"

The protests could be ended. Or at least better managed. With effective leadership.

It all comes back to effective leadership. Something we don't have right now. And something we desperately need.

Hang in there America. Help is on the way.
