Surprising to me, only 43% of the Republicans said the United States was doing somewhat better or much better than other countries.

I saw an interesting article the other day on why Christian evangelicals are wired to believe Donald Trump's gaslighting lies.

The TLDR was, if trained to believe unquestioningly that fairy tales are the literal, Gospel truth, the brain because susceptible to believing other lies as well. That might also explain why some of these folks are likely to believe other nonsensical conspiracy theories as well, without actually using deductive skills to ferret out the truth.

I tend to think they're just fake as f&%^ and will support anybody who increases their power, wealth and clout.
