Why does the headline link to Wikipedia?

Doesn't Barbara Goolsbee Bollier have a campaign website?

Is there some kind of news about her?

#2 | Posted by ClownShack at 2020-08-04 10:37 PM | Reply

Is this the first time there's been a Democratic candidate in Kansas?

What's the discussion?

Laura seems like she's not too eager to vote for Barbara Goolsbee Bollier.

Sorry I forgot she's a Dr. too

The link for this web post is to Barbara Bollier (D) candidate for Senate.
thehill.com

The link in #1 is to Rep. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), not the same person at all, who is running for the same Senate seat and just defeated Kris Kobach. That makes it a tougher win for Bollier. Kobach isn't well regarded in KS from what I read.

#5 | Posted by YAV at 2020-08-04 10:50 PM | Reply

Kobach has been in trouble too much. Hell he lost bigly to Laura Kelly who had virtualy every Republian big wig in Kansas supporting her over Kobach if that tells you anything.

Laura.

I misunderstood your first post.

What are your thoughts on Barbara Goolsbee Bollier.

I'm assuming that's who Tor is posting this thread about.

I like her. She seems so down to earth folksy. I'll probably vote for her come November.

#8 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2020-08-04 11:12 PM | Reply

I cannot imagine Kansas Democrats will have a better chance of electing one of their own to the Senate in my lifetime.

And I decided I didn't want to provide free advertising for any newspaper.

Alright cool. I was just unsure why I was going to a Wikipedia page. Totally weird.

Glad Kansas is trying something new.

Clam Shack in the last election cycle Kansas elected a Native American lesbian to Congress over a white male Republican incumbent.

Remember when Kansas elected Brownback

Eberly and jeffy spent months ruining around the DR comparing their Brownback ------ telling whimsical story's of "fiscal" economic prosperity and rivers of liberal tears
Laffer curve they promised
Mark the words their warning

Didn't exactly pan out, did it

"Kobach isn't well regarded in KS from what I read."

Kobach has always been attached at the hip to Sam Brownback. "The Kansas Miracle" was proven to be...not a shot in the arm, as Brownback predicted, but rather a shot in the foot. After three years of devastation, and billions in funds taken from roads, pensions, and even needy children, Brownback doubled down, and shot the economy in the other foot. It led to mayhem due to major cuts in education, culminating in Brownback blaming an urban school district for replacing an aging piano. Finally, he instructed folks in his own party to override his veto. Following that, Kobach begged the legislature to empower him to prosecute voter fraud, claiming he had "hundreds" of cases to file. After four years and $4 million, Kobach had filed nine cases: eight against addled elderly, all in western Kansas (i.e., all Republican voters), and one...ONE ...illegal immigrant. Following his debacle finding ZERO illegal votes for Trump, Kobach ran for governor, on the platform the tax cuts just didn't go far enough. He lost to Democrat Laura Kelly.

That's why I was wondering what the big deal was about Barbara Goolsbee Bollier.

Never mind.

POSTED BY TOR

There are a lot of not so bright doctors out there as well. Ben Carson and Rand Paul come to mind.

Bollier is endorsed by these scary organizations -- Brady Campaign to Prevent gun Violence, which is a virulent opponent of the Second Amendment, the radical left NEA whose members are currently demanding total de-funding of police in California before they'll return to teach school, Planned Parenthood, you know, the radicals caught selling body parts from freshly killed babies, and NARAL -- just to name a few. REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER what chaos she will bring to your city or town -- Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, St.Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, Atlanta, and and the Antifa and BLM rioters to convince you to shut up and obey. REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER.... and vote wisely... in Kansas and wherever DEMOCRATS are hell-bent on burning down your business. BLM thugs are now selling "protection" to business owners in DEMOCRAT-RUN cities to keep the rioters from burning down their businesses. Let thank sink in..... REMEMBER......

The police brought that, when they killed George Floyd. In Trump's America.

What happened just prior to 05/09/2020 that prompted this reanimated DR persona to suddenly came back to life?
Was that around the time of the coordinated "conservative" hissy fit here on the DR?

The cadence and punctuation seems disturbing yet familiar and the hysterical predictions something I have seen here before

Eberly sure was quick to rush in and tamper the post down with feigned reason, without mentioning any of the assertions unhinged'ness of course

Interesting

Kansas. Pfffft. The heart of deplorable Trump country. The only people elected out of that State have an (R) next to their name.

we do have Governor with a D after her name. But that's about it.

#25 | Posted by eberly at 2020-08-05 03:56 PM | Reply

Wait. I thought Rand Paul was a doctor.

Perhaps he is a just witch doctor. As in which kind of doctor is he?

Anyone can be a doctor.

Just incorporate a board and certify yourself!

If the majority of voters in kansas are willing to elect a Democrat for Governor there's no reason to believe they won't do the same for a Senator.

Won't happen this time.

Dr. Roger Marshall will win easily.

#29 | Posted by eberly at 2020-08-06 11:06 PM | Reply

Is Rodger Marshall campaigning on Family Values while associating himself with Donald Trump? If so he's f*****.

#30 | Posted by Tor at 2020-08-07 01:04 AM | Reply

Any politician who says "common sense solutions" usually red flags themselves in my mind. It's too empty headed a slogan for me to take them seriously.

Dr. Roger Marshall will win easily.
#29 | POSTED BY EBERLY

Great, so another Trump believing idiot.

Being a doctor doesn't mean you're smart. I've met plenty of MDs and even MD PHDs that I wouldn't want treating me or my family.

In fact, Roger Marshall seems to be a prime example of that.

#31 | Posted by jpw at 2020-08-07 09:28 AM | Reply

The person who graduates last in their med school class is a doctor.

Look at Rand Paul. He had to create a new board of ophthalmology to get himself licensed.

What's so odd is that we've had all sorts of MDs running for office in my part of the world.

but about Roger Marshall......please understand the GOP primary in this district where I live.

It would make you sick how much these candidates have run while standing shoulder to shoulder with Trump....but if you don't, you lose.

It's that simple. If you want to get elected from the 1st District of Kansas...you have to suck Trump's ------- metaphorically speaking.

#33 | Posted by eberly at 2020-08-07 10:23 AM | Reply

A doctor who is endorsing Trump is effectively declaring they don't deserve to have their medical license.
