Republican President Donald Trump in a Thursday interview with a Cleveland radio station shirked responsibility for the current status of the coronavirus pandemic, instead blaming China and the governors across the country.

During a roughly 40-minute interview on "Geraldo in Cleveland" hosted by Geraldo Rivera on WTAM, Trump assessed the job he was doing as "fantastic," saying that if he is re-elected, things will go back to normal quickly.

If this is fantastic, thank God we'll never see horrible.

Scratch that, we are seeing horrible. It's just that its father is denying paternity even though the DNA test known as "reality" confirms his unique and sole responsibility.

US Surpasses 160,000 Coronavirus Deaths

This is true, but the article I posted was more about how the GOP has decided to focus on Buttery Males again.

Summarizing that article, entitled "Our nation is in a free fall. But sure, let's talk about Hillary's emails again.":
Nearly 5 million COVID-19 cases in the United States. One-hundred fifty-seven thousand dead. Thirty-two million out of work. Tens of millions facing eviction, foreclosure and hunger. What do we do now? Simple: We talk about Hillary Clinton's emails! GOP Sens. Cornyn, Graham, Cruz, Tillis amongst other GOP clowns are trying to change the subject from the crises now gripping the nation to their greatest hits from 2016. As the Trump administration drifts and millions lose their unemployment benefits, the Senate Judiciary Committee staged yet another hearing Wednesday about the Steele dossier, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Bruce Ohr, Fusion GPS and other golden oldies.

Well, yeah.

They never really supported Donald Trump.

They were forced to because of her emails.

The blame for every bit of this lies squarely at the feet of the Democratic party.

You'll read it in their books and hear it on the news.

During 2018/2019 according to the CDC the flu killed 34,157 in the U.S. The U.S. is at 160,000 deaths from Covid in less than six months.

It has been. If there was no vaccine or preventive measures or treatment and no end in sight to the number of deaths it would still be.

Now imagine what it would be like if there were no vaccine or treatments for the flu and it was as contagious as covid and was passed along by asymptomatic people.

And then imagine retarded Republicans claimed there were fake cures and they claimed that being careful and wearing a mask around others was the Devils Law. Imagine what it would have been like if Republicans had claimed the flu was a Democratic hoax.

Can you imagine?

No. Probably not.

Donald Trump - April 10

"We did a lot of work, and the people of this country were incredible, I have to say. And I think we're heading to the other category, and that would be if we did work and if it was successful, they had between 100,000 and 220,000 to 240,000 on the upside. And I think we'll be substantially, hopefully, below the hundred number. And I think, right now, we're heading at probably around 60-, maybe 65,000."
Donald Trump - April 17

"We're going toward 50- or 60,000 people. That's at the lower -- as you know, the low number was supposed to be 100,000 people. We -- we could end up at 50 to 60."
Donald Trump - April 20

"we'll be at 100,000, 110, higher -- the lower level of what was projected if we did the shutdown, but still, you're talking about, I say, two Yankee Stadiums of people. It's unacceptable."

Let's look at the Green New Deal. It's been treated as a serious proposal by a bunch of progressives. Implementing it would require the government to seize control of the energy sector and other sectors as well. Granted, it would implode on itself but it is a clear example of some elected Democrats to have the government seize control of production.

Maxine Waters makes the argument to have the government run all of the oil companies in this clip:

For those fools still trying to downplay this:

The top 4 causes of death for 2018 (most recent data available from the CDC)

1. Heart disease: 655,381
2. Cancer: 599,274
3. Unintentional injuries: 167,127
4. Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 159,486

According to Worldometer, the U.S. is over 163K deaths due to CoViD-19, with a daily death rate of just over 1k/day (7-day moving average). That puts us 1 week away from surpassing the #3 cause of death for all of 2018. We've still got 4 more months to go.

Also, just for fun, I looked up the U.S. hospitalization rate for the Flu. Estimates from the CDC for 2018-2019: 490k, 2017-2018: 810k, 2016-2017: 500K. Those are the #1, #4, and #5 worst years in the last 10.

2017-2018 was also the highest estimated deaths in the last 10 years from the flu at 79k. We're already over twice that in confirmed deaths, and that's an estimate for the entire season - the worst one I could find from 1976-2007, and 2010-2019. I couldn't immediately find data for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. According to This article in StatNews from 2018, 2018 was the worst since 1976, and that earlier statistics were difficult to find.

The 1918 flu is estimated to have killed 500k Americans. We're probably not going to surpass that number, but we are going to get pretty close without some significant, coordinated, national intervention. Even with that, we're going to approach 300k. If we see another significant spike, we could easily beat the 1918 Flu and approach cancer for total numbers of deaths in a year. I surely don't want to see that, but this continued insistence that it "isn't that bad" will put us there.

Let's look at the Green New Deal. It's been treated as a serious proposal by a bunch of progressives. Implementing it would require the government to seize control of the energy sector and other sectors as well.

You haven't read the green new deal. You've listened to professional liars tell you what the green new deal is.

If you don't see fascism in trump using government to get personal political favors from foreign nations, using the justice department to pardon his friends, bury his own crimes, and go after his enemies, and enriching himself through government policy, then you are only proving your own stupidity, cult dedication, and ignorance, as if we didn't already know.

Another moronic statement. Fascism, like socialism, aims to turn over control of production over the workers, and also strives for the end of private property. None of which have been so much is suggested via any legislation by any Democrat.

Admit it, you're just barfing words you don't know the meaning of, because some idiot barfed it before you, and you're too stupid to know what it means.

#93 Apples and oranges. Explain to me in practical terms how the Green New Deal would be achieved.

Here is the definition of fascism:

"Fascism (/f ... z'm/) is a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, as well as strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe."

I'm not seeing much of this from the right but plenty of it from the left.

BFD. That's not an intelligent discussion at all.

Your task was to prove your claim of government having to take over industry to implement the GND. Clearly, you can't do that. TOTAL FAIL, especially barfing "Marxist". which, as I explained above, requires the elimination of private property. You're merely proving you don't understand the terms you're using.

'Fact is, ACA is a shell of what it was supposed to be."

NSS, because Trump has cut as many legs off that stool as possible. If you knew the first thing about the ACA, you'd know that much.

"Unicorns are more realistic than GND in application."

More useless bullshirt word salad, without a scintilla of proof. Consider your claim debunked, by your own ignorance. Ultimately, all you've proven is you can't discuss the specifics of either of them intelligently. What a fkkkin' moron.

What's "recovered" mean?
The answer is it varies from state to state. There is no uniform definition of when someone is counted as "recovered." For some it's release from a hospital, able to eat and do things on their own. For many it's still a long, long road to getting back to 100%. Many won't ever get back.

It will continue to go down. This is nothing to celebrate. The CFR will approach the IFR as more and more are exposed and counted.

I'll celebrate when no one is getting this horrific disease.
