According to a New York Times analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there have been 200,700 excess deaths in the United States during the coronavirus pandemic, much higher than the current total of 161,000 confirmed deaths.

...which is probably a pretty good indication of the real number of deaths so far due to CoVid. But, statistics have a well-known liberal bias.

This makes total sense.
Many people with omorbidities never got tested, may not have exhibited symptoms that are "classic" COVID-19, and died at home. This is why the influenza death counts are all estimates.

Given what the CDC has stated as requirements to count the death as COVID-19 I woudl have thought this number to be around where it is, though I was thinking maybe a bit lower. Maybe I was hoping it would be lower.

This is sad.
