Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A Trump-appointed federal judge demanded that the President's campaign put up or shut up by Friday in regards to evidence that mail-in voting is rife with fraud. "Plaintiffs shall produce such evidence in their possession, and if they have none, state as much," ordered U.S. District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan in Pittsburgh. The Trump campaign and RNC filed a lawsuit at the end of June seeking to block Pennsylvania from using drop boxes for voters to submit their ballots.

Judge Ranjan made the order in response to a request from two advocacy groups who intervened in the case, the Sierra Club and Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future, who said that the campaign "should not be permitted to raise such spectacular fraud-related claims, particularly in this national climate, and refuse to provide discoverable information to substantiate those claims."

The lawsuit seems to be the first time the RNC or Trump campaign have targeted drop boxes, which have been used by some states during the primaries particularly as a response to the COVID-19-related danger of voting in person. The campaign and RNC have frequently gone after other aspects of the vote-by-mail process.

The walls are closing in around Trump while he flails with more and more absurdities and outright lies. Americans are seeing what he's trying to do and planning on effective countermeasures that will insure his defeat.

Judges read the papers and watch news stories too. Very few are going to keep giving Trump the benefit of any doubt when he articulates exactly why and towards what ends he does what he does in direct opposition to the Constitution, traditions, and numerous laws designed to stop him.

If they have any, it's new.

Before a 2012 trial, PA vote suppressionists had to admit they had none:

formally acknowledged that there's been no reported in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania and there isn't likely to be in November. The state signed a stipulation agreement with lawyers for the plaintiffs which acknowledges there "have been no investigations or prosecutions of in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania; and the parties do not have direct personal knowledge of any such investigations or prosecutions in other states." Additionally, the agreement states Pennsylvania "will not offer any evidence in this action that in-person voter fraud has in fact occurred in Pennsylvania and elsewhere" or even argue "that in person voter fraud is likely to occur in November 2012 in the absense of the Photo ID law."

Another disappointing judge, like that John Roberts fellow. We'll have to see what we can do about him...
-Mike "I'm here for you, mr. president" Pence

Perhaps the federal judiciary collectively recognizes the importance of their role in holding their country back from the abyss...

Trump has no other lifestyle but his own for comparison. So naturally, he thinks judges are as dishonest as himself.

We all probably know a few dishonest people like that.

Ranjan is one of the more qualified Trump appointees with less of an obvious partisan background. It wouldn't surprise me to see him rule without favor to this ------- administration.

I have plenty of evidence of Republicans committing election fraud if he wants to see it.

Judge just like the White House press reporter "do you regret all your lies?"

If Trumpy and the Deplorables can't find any evidence they can just lie and say they did.

And then delay and obfuscate.

As usual.
