Never mind the fact that those who were driving through were having things thrown at them. I did see video of a DBag in a truck unloading a paint gun at lefty-protestors. That ---- should be treated as assault by local authorities.

ZED

I think he meant he wouldn't ADMIT who won for years . . . unless it's him.

Otherwise he'll file lawsuits in every state with a close loss and take it through the legal system all the way to the Supreme Court which he's counting on to overturn the election. That's the part that would take a lot of time (not years).

Anyway, without a clear decision in his favor by noon, January 20, 2021, Trump will have worn out his welcome and whatever authority he had up to that point, including the military. The Constitution is very adamant on that point. There is no provision in the Constitution for an "implied extension" or an "implied hold-over" of an administration after noon, January 20, 2021 Quite the opposite in fact.

The Constitution does not allow for any gaps in the presidency, even if one has to be appointed pro-tem by the new Congress sworn in on January 3, 2021, with ALL the powers inherent in the presidency, without exceptions.

Trump is too cowardly to slug it out in D.C. I think he'll sequester himself at Mar-a-Lago so he can play golf during the slugfest.

After noon, January 20, 2021, those of us on the ground can gather and cheer as Air Force One flies back to D.C. empty.

Coming into town, deliberately driving through anti-Trump protesters, loaded with a mace sprayer and paintball guns to shoot at the opposition was never intended to be peaceful. They came to provoke, to cause a fight - all emboldened and encouraged by the Piece of ---- that infests the White House.

Had they not had that all set up, ready to go, I'd call foul on anyone that did anything to injure any of them. If all they were there to do was drive through with flags and be jackasses, they should be allowed to do that without being endangered. But they didn't have any intent like that, so ---- 'em.

And yes, I don't approve of direct violence against the protesters by the Police, or any violence towards the police by the protesters, as long as the police don't provoke it (which they have a long history of doing). I've explained this to one poster repeatedly. It's a police tactic:
1) Declare the assembly "unlawful"
2) Provoke the protesters until a response is generated.
3) Based on the response, declare the protest a "riot."
4) Hit the protesters hard.
5) Mission accomplished.

Live streams show that this is rarely the case. Mostly the Unlawful Assembly pronouncements have been after curfews and in response to thrown objects or property destruction. Property destruction is the most common nowadays and is "attacking whiteness" so we're going to see a lot more of it, ironically carried out by white people who don't get the irony.

@#2 ... Never mind the fact that those who were driving through were having things thrown at them. ...

Probably because they were driving through a crowd standing in a pickup truck while spraying pepper spray at those on the ground.

I'm sure the memory of a right-wing person driving a car through a crowd and killing someone was present in the minds of those being targeted by the trucks.

Both sides came there looking for a fight and they both found what they were looking for.
What needs to happen is law and order needs to be restored. Part of that is denying permits for any Trump rallies and part of that is clearing out the rioters once and for all.
Here is a prediction for you - if this is still ongoing on the election night, the following day Trump will impose the Sedition Act and start a wholesale roundup of the DNC lowlives rioting in major American cities - and the local government officials that enable it continue as well. Dems better brush up on the Sedition Act as it is coming for them.

Trump no doubt is NOT helping the situation. Welcoming his MAGA caravan to Portland via Tweet and also Tweeting "ask for my help or else" is not what a President should be doing. It's Oregon, but it's also under his watch as President of the USA.

Portland also deserves critcism. For whatever reason, we've seen both sides clash before here. They should have learned from before and be handling it better/be more prepared. Peaceful protest but knock off the stupid destruction and of course zero violence.

If they are arrested (and they should be, they were committing assault) I wonder if Freedom Fund will bail them out (the organization that Kamala Harris openly promoted on Twitter and that 13 members of the Biden campaign have contributed to). Here are a few of the gems that Freedom Fund has bailed out:

"Among those bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) is a suspect who shot at police, a woman accused of killing a friend, and a twice convicted sex offender, according to court records reviewed by the FOX 9 Investigators.

According to attempted murder charges, Jaleel Stallings shot at members of a SWAT Team during the riots in May. Police recovered a modified pistol that looks like an AK-47. MFF paid $75,000 in cash to get Stallings out of jail.

Darnika Floyd is charged with second degree murder, for stabbing a friend to death. MFF paid $100,000 cash for her release.

Christopher Boswell, a twice convicted rapist, is currently charged with kidnapping, assault, and sexual assault in two separate cases. MFF paid $350,00 [sic] in cash for his release."

#40 | Posted by JOE at 2020-08-31 09:23 PM | Reply

Not my personal definition of "traitor", the actual definition.

"1 : one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty
2 : one who commits treason"

If you are going with option 1 then you are correct about arguing over whether or not someone fits that definition. It's a waste of time. My guess is you label anyone you disagree with as a traitor.

Usually when people use the word "traitor" I deduce they are using option 2.

So, I'll revise my question - which person who has committed treason has been pardoned?

For those of us advocating for criminal justice reform, it is not encouraging at all to have two Tough on Crime warriors on the Dem ticket going against Trump/Pence. If I were the single issue voter I once was (CJS reform), I'd say this is the worst ticket we could have imagined.

However, we've made significant strides in pushing back against the Tough on Crime policies of the past that has led me to expand my consideration of issues. What's sad is Kamala trying her best to take credit for those progressive reforms in California as she led from the back. Like most politicians, she is more interested in her personal career than what's best for the community.

It is what it is. If I were in a swing state, her and Biden would receive my vote just to get this ---- stain of Trump out of office.

Luckily, you and I vote in a state where we can vote our consciences, which I plan to do. In that sense, I suppose, I'm lucky I don't have to vote for her to improve the chances of Trump getting the boot.

These city governments should be firing their chiefs and dissolving their corrupt police unions.
They are the ones who have the power to really fix this but are too scared and entrenched to do so.
