Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, September 01, 2020

As the nation grapples with volatile protests, President Trump on Monday night claimed in a Fox News interview that "people that are in the dark shadows" are "controlling the streets" and manipulating his Democratic opponent Joe Biden to sow chaos. When host Laura Ingraham suggested that the claim "sounds like conspiracy theory," Trump doubled down, launching into a tale of a plane that allegedly flew from an unnamed city to Washington, D.C., this weekend loaded with "thugs wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms, with gear."

On Ingraham's show, Trump addressed the police shooting of Jacob Blake, which sparked the Kenosha unrest. Although the president broadly praised police, he cast the officer who shot Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, multiple times in the back as a "bad apple" who made a poor decision under pressure " comparing his failure to that of a golfer.

"Shooting the guy in the back many times, I mean, couldn't you have done something different? Couldn't you have wrestled him?" Trump said. "But they choke. Just like in a golf tournament. They miss a 3-foot putt."

"You're not comparing it to golf, because that's what the media will say," Ingraham interjected.

"I'm saying people choke," Trump responded. "People choke."

Ladies and gentlemen, your President of the United States saying that the officer who dumped 7 bullets into Jacob Blake's back "choked."

I'm sure Mr. Blake will be relieved once the news of Trump's analogy reaches him.

One of Trump's remaining neurons is percolating up scenes from "Invasion USA".

This is part of the root of my concern, or paranoia if you like. Not only does Trump feel desperate, he does not live in any variety of reality the rest of us understand. The man has ALWAYS given evidence that he is delusional. Delusional people do crazy things, and he's bound to find at least 100,000 of his followers or more who are just crazy enough to do them with him.

Choked? Interesting...........I am suprised this isn't getting more play.

To me chocked is an indictment on the policeman who shot, and Trump is supposed to be pro-police lol.......

Tell an athlete he lost the game, ok. Tell an athlete he chocked, you'll get a reaction.

Police around the country can't be happy with this.

Trump also said he would be revealing who it is in the near future.

Is that like his healhcare surprise he promised in two weeks, and then when questioned about it at a presser, said coming at the end of month. Well, it's September big boy. Whatcha got?

If Blake's shooter would dump enough superlatives on Trump he'd be awarded a presidential pardon.

It'll be nice when we get a president who does not interject themselves into anything and everything, and simply responds with a, "No comment". But when one's sole purpose is to continually remain the center of attention it'll seem like a quaint relic from better times.

Go lie down, Donald!

Wouldn't one trigger pull be considered a choke?

7 seems intentional...

But what do I know - I'm not that Zetaphile guy.

"How the hell did this disgusting piece of ---- ever become President?"

First, sixty million people thought he'd be better than Hillary Clinton.

Then, the Electoral College didn't do the One Thing they were created to do.

Moder8,

do you mind going to the "Police union in Kenosha...."?

I'd like your professional opinion...on what you see.

I posted this on another thread but I should have posted it here:

Can't we split into separate nations already? Or at least just allow California to break off and form it's own country? Democracy does not work when the majority does not decide who the winner of an election is. It happened in 2000. It happened in 2016. It may happen again in 2020. Democracy just is not working. At least not for those of us in California who overwhelmingly support the candidates in 2000 and 2016 who got the most votes nationally but were denied the office. Let's end this lie already.

Trump comparing the cop shooting Blake in the back 7 times to missing a 3' golf putt as examples of "choking" was a bizarre analogy. Especially using the word "choking" after George Floyd.

Speaking of which, here's a great cartoon of Trump and Lady Liberty

President Trump on Monday night claimed in a Fox News interview that "people that are in the dark shadows"

Whatever trump accuses his opponent of, it's what HE'S actually doing HIMSELF.

That means trump has his brownshirts "in the dark shadows" trying to start street violence to scare people into voting for trump.

"Is that like his healhcare surprise he promised in two weeks, and then when questioned about it at a presser, said coming at the end of month. "

That was back in July.

"...it's September big boy. Whatcha got?"

Same thing he had back in August.

Trump was supposed to cut a deal with pharmaceutical companies for lower prices again this week, but the companies don't know what he was talking about.

He has gone full Qanon, both with the new claim that only about 6% of 200k dead from COVID have actually died from COVID and now this BS. I have been very depressed over the state of our country for the last nearly four years, getting more so each day, the DNC brought me out of it for a time, but man I have never been so afraid for this country, and by extension the world.

Don't forget Lewy Body dementia...

Visual hallucinations. Hallucinations may be one of the first symptoms, and they often recur. They may include seeing shapes, animals or people that aren't there. Sound (auditory), smell (olfactory) or touch (tactile) hallucinations are possible.

Movement disorders. Signs of Parkinson's disease (parkinsonian signs), such as slowed movement, rigid muscles, tremor or a shuffling walk may occur. This can also result in falls.

Poor regulation of body functions (autonomic nervous system). Blood pressure, pulse, sweating and the digestive process are regulated by a part of the nervous system that is often affected by Lewy body dementia. This can result in dizziness, falls and bowel issues such as constipation.

Cognitive problems. You may experience thinking (cognitive) problems similar to those of Alzheimer's disease, such as confusion, poor attention, visual-spatial problems and memory loss.

Sleep difficulties. You may have rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder, which can cause you to physically act out your dreams while you're asleep.

Fluctuating attention. Episodes of drowsiness, long periods of staring into space, long naps during the day or disorganized speech are possible.

Depression. You may experience depression sometime during the course of your illness.

Apathy. You may have loss of motivation.

Sound like any president you know?

Trump gives you clues every day as to what he is doing. Things you cannot see. Yet.

In part two of the Faux News interview, aired last night, Trump claims that he actually got more votes than Hillary in 2016, just that a lot of them went to 3rd party candidates, but since they were mostly Republicans voting against Hillary, he should have really been credited with those votes.

He's also demanding that Joe Biden be given a drug test because there's no way a 78 year-old man with as many physical and mental health issue as everyone knows that Biden suffers from, that he must be on some serious drug regimen for him to be able to get around like he does and be able to give TV interviews and speeches. Trump says it's not natural and he wants answers.

He also said that Democratic governors are somehow controlling the traffic signs in their states as well as the how college football games are being played (what in the heck is that all about?).

He also says that he doesn't have time to "play games", that he has to come across as being serious at all times (except I guess when he's doing interviews on Faux News and/or when he's at one of his many golf resorts).

I've decided I'm voting for Joe Biden.

As a lifelong republican, enough is enough. Trump is a failure.

Honestly.

I see 2020 as more than a decision between a Democrat or a Republican.

I see it as a decision between a Democracy and a Dictatorship.

This isn't, "should abortions be legal?"

It's, "should one man be a dictator because a few people managed to manipulate the laws to protect his every step."

This is America vs Donald Trump.

Choose your side.
