Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, released eight weeks of White House Coronavirus Task Force reports showing that while the Trump administration was telling state's to open, the reports were dire: "The Task Force reports released today show the White House has known since June that coronavirus cases were surging across the country and many states were becoming dangerous 'red zones' where the virus was spreading fast," said Chairman Clyburn. "Rather than being straight with the American people and creating a national plan to fix the problem, the President and his enablers kept these alarming reports private while publicly downplaying the threat to millions of Americans. As a result of the President's failures, more than 58,000 additional Americans have died since the Task Force first started issuing private warnings, and many of the Task Force's recommendations still have not been implemented. It is long past time that the Administration finally implement a national plan to contain this crisis, which is still killing hundreds of Americans each day."

What's more important, re-electing Trump or saving lives?

slopping his way through life wtg clowns.

This feels a lot worse than knowing Bushturd got a warning about bin Laden and Katrina's forecast ahead of time and ignored it.

Donald Trump is a butcher.

His supporters are that as well.

The lives of others are less than an abstraction to Donald Trump. He's the worst man in America, and the enabler of other bad men. EVERYTHING bad suspected of him is likely to be true and, when he is out of office, proven to be so. Russian agent; sexual deviant.

Trump's actions or inactions could have been predicted when he bankrupted a casino. He's stupid but egotistical, a very bad combination of traits. But most important...he is f*****g stupid. And so are his supporters.

Remember, the entire U.S. pandemic happened because of Trump's pettiness. Now, he's hurting efforts to end the pandemic.

At first he praised China, then as things worsened here he needed a scapegoat, so China it was.

China that's had about 85,000 COVID cases and did all the right things to mitigate spread like most other countries did.

#8 It is now.

Just another reason to NEVER ELECT A BUSINESSMAN to government...they will always look for the quick fix, the will only look to how it benefits themselves, they will always ignore long term costs in exchange for short term gain.

Government should never be run like a business and anyone that thinks it should is an idiot.

Unfortunately you have a good segment of our society who for some reason hold business owners up as some sort of lofty thing.

As if it's a. that difficult to do and b. is a sign of anything more than running a business.

Especially when it's somebody like Trump who got a $500 million head start and runs mostly shell companies, with the few that are actually real businesses went under.

In Okiehomie Dr. Birx recently showed up to talk to our business guy governor and others, on a Sunday. No press invited because "nothing new was going to be discussed". Three days later it was announced that the good doctors message was the state was in the "red" category and all bars should be closed and all in the state should wear masks.

Thanks to this short sighted view, Oklahoma will be a purple state in a few years because the spineless politicians are killing the older voters, who vote Republican by rote...
