FT: [H]ow to run a political boat parade: at either very high or very low speeds, in open water, and not in single file. The Trump boat parade on Saturday in Texas failed to do these things, and ended up fighting an opponent more formidable than any Democrat: physics. ... Alphaville was not at Lake Travis over the weekend, so again we have to rely on the float plan as it was described by ABC News. The key detail: The plan was to run at 10 miles per hour. It was good that the organisers wanted to avoid high-speed collisions. But that was exactly the wrong speed for a boat parade of planing hulls.

Physics is a type of science, therefore irrelevant to Trumpists and GOPhers.

Righties, please carry on disregarding all moral and scientific rules affecting our continued existence. It is far more important that you all follow your bliss and do whatever you want, when you want.

For those of you on shore who wish to disrupt the next Trump boat cruise, I have two words: Bottle Rockets...

Leave the Italians and Polacks out of this.

Looks like a Trumptard Navy. I could never stand those that "wear things on their shirt sleeves." Trump supporters are the worst of the worst because they don't even understand wtf they are supporting.

When you attach an oversized outboard motor that is heavy enough to lower the transom close to the water, it is not an Xmas Miracle that the boat would be swamped. Idiots with NO seamanship skills did not help the situation. There is a reason you're supposed to slow down when passing close by another boat.

I own a larger boat, this guy doesn't know what he is talking about

The boats that went down were planing hull ski boats, swamped in excessive wake conditions from 2100 marginally coordinated boats. It wasn't the wind that got them. No shortage of idiots flying around on jet skis either.

They managed the same scale parade in Clear Lake. Nobody sank. Silly Austinites.
