Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, September 11, 2020

Dr. Ossama Samuel is a cardiologist at New York's Mount Sinai Hospital, where he routinely sees coronavirus survivors who are contending with cardiac complications. Samuel said his team has treated three young and otherwise healthy coronavirus patients who have developed myocarditis -- an inflammation of the heart muscle -- weeks to months after recovering from the virus.

Turns out COVID has some nasty residual effects.

So much for those pretending otherwise.

...
- - Coronavirus may damage heart without causing obvious symptoms
- - Cardiac exams may identify athletes at risk of heart injury

Doctors recommend cardiac screening tests for competitive athletes who have recovered from Covid-19 after a small study found heart damage in 1 in 7 college sports competitors, including in those whose coronavirus infection caused no obvious symptoms.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging on 26 competitive college athletes who had either a mild or asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection found four, or 15%, with signs of inflammation of the heart muscle. These suspected myocarditis patients were males in their late teens and early 20s, including two who experienced no Covid-19 symptoms, doctors at Ohio State University in Columbus reported Friday in a research letter to the Journal of the American Medical Association....

Nah, just let the heart attacks wash over 10% of the US population. We don't want to disrupt the stock market. Think of all the estate transfers and related stock sales commissions to be made.

It's such a small price to pay for herd immunity.

This line in the bloomberg article surprised me and concerns me...

"...These suspected myocarditis patients were males in their late teens and early 20s, including two who experienced no Covid-19 symptoms..." [emphasis mine]

Two young males who had no symptoms experienced heart damage.

Obviously, there needs to be more data on this aspect of COVID-19, but this is a troubling early indication.

Further corroboration of previous findings is not old news. That's called news.

This just goes to show that there are far too many people in this country who believe you either die or fully recover (like the flu) from COVID-19.

They completely ignore the nuance. And we know this with cries of "We should have only quarantined the sick and elderly. Everyone else would have been fine! Why should we have to sacrafice our lifestyles simply because a few hundred thousand elderly, sick, and dying are going to die anyway?"

The ignorance is truly repugnant. Not only would all these cucks been okay with hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of dead just so their daily bull ---- American routines were not upended. They also, apparently, are perfectly fine with an entire generation of people having long term pulmonary and cardiovascular issues. Just as long as they can go to the gym, sit in a bar, or go to a fnkcing concert.

Simply pathetic outlook on life and the consideration of others.

Sincere question for the cucks: How many people that you personally know have to either die or suffer long term health effects from a COVID-19 infection for you to get on board with practical measures in combating the virus' spread?

@#11 ... Further corroboration of previous findings is not old news. That's called news. ...

Yup. it's good news that some of the early findings are continuing to be correct as the sample size has been increasing.
