A digital ad released by a fundraising arm of the Trump campaign on Sept. 11 calling on people to "support our troops" uses a stock photo of Russian-made fighter jets and weapons.

Well, from Pres Trump's point of view...

Even the troops, which are shown only in silhouette, are clearly carrying Russian-made AK-type weapons.

Perhaps the Trump campaign wants us to become comfortable with Russian troops on our soil?

It must be funny to be a Trump-supporting Vietnam Vet and see him promoting enemy aircraft and weapons in his ads.

I can see it now.
"I'm taking a real beating from Biden. I'm starting to think I might not win. I have to come up with better ads." - Trump
"Here's some of mine that I never used. Consider them yours as long as you withdraw US troops from Germany." - Putin

Funny how many times mistakes like this have happened to -------

Well, those are the troops he supports. He sure doesn't support OUR troops.

Russian troops are cheaper than American, so why not out source and save money? Think of the kickbacks in empty hotel room bookings.

Mr. President not promoting Russia. Is demoting America for not support of him.

LOL... I can see some little liberal ad designer, hired out of a temp agency... working for the campaign as an intern... earning peanuts... snickering quietly to her/him self.

Putin probably gave the campaign the photos to run...

Simple mistake since it's a stock photo but very ironic.

Normally I'd think that too, but how many times can someone make the same mistake before we start to wonder if it's intentional?

-------... this is a perfect example of the clown brigade trying to get by on the cheap and hiring hacks.

I mean gee wiz... how hard is it to be specific when doing an image search for a specific ad theme? It's not hard at all... images of "fighter jets flying overhead"... versus "American fighter jets flying overhead"... because it's to be paired with images of "American soldiers"... in a positive way.

No one proofed the copy for consistency or content.

Slop... pure slop. No excuses.

I'm a little surprised Putin hasn't sent some tanks over and given Trump his military parade yet.

Maybe that part is coming in Act Two of this apparently five-act tragedy.
