When drivers on Interstate 84 cross the border [from New York] into [Danbury,] Connecticut, a billboard thanking frontline workers will greet them.
The 900-square-foot billboard installed this week honors medical, fire, EMT, police and National Guard "heroes" who have faced health risks while working throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
Danbury area businessman George Mulvaney and Janette Blackstock, of Mulvaney Mechanical, worked with Mayor Mark Boughton and city department leaders to create the 15-foot high by 60-foot wide sign.
