Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Today, the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the nation, responded to reports that Amy Coney Barrett will be Trump's nominee to the United States Supreme Court. "The last four years have been an assault on the rights and dignity of LGBTQ people across the country, led by Donald Trump, Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell's prioritization of power over people," said Alphonso David, president of the Human Rights Campaign. "While people are suffering across the country, instead of offering aid, Trump and McConnell are rushing through a Supreme Court justice - a justice who could deal a fatal blow to people maintaining their basic health care in the middle of a pandemic. The President has dramatically altered the judiciary to try to dismantle hard-fought rights and progress secured over decades - LGBTQ rights, voting rights, reproductive rights and more. Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell has sycophantically installed Trump's extreme judicial nominees and is now seeking to push the balance of the Supreme Court even further to the fringes. If she is nominated and confirmed, Coney Barrett would work to dismantle all that Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought for during her extraordinary career. An appointment of this magnitude must be made by the president inaugurated in January. The Human Rights Campaign fervently opposes Coney Barrett's nomination, and this sham process."

Who cares who opposes her? All that matters is that a majority of sniveling opportunistic Senators do support her. We are SO going to pack the Court when we take over.

I expected Trump to put Ted Nugent on the supreme court.

Do you, Amy Coney Barrett, will to the best of your ability, decline, neglect and pretend?

She has criticized the ruling which upheld the Affordable Care Act"which has helped millions attain quality, affordable healthcare"and expressed opinions that suggest she would strike down the law.

Unless they have a better, more accessible and cheaper alternative it just looks like that Amy's path with Jesus has met a sinkhole.

A defining characteristic of the Trump administration is the cruelty of it's cast.

McConnell did not sycophantically appoint DJT judges, DJT simply rubber-stamped McConnell's judges because he doesn't care.

The Democratic members of the Senate need to play hard ball. Delay, frustrate, use procedure every single day to gum up the works. Since they literally have nothing else to do at this point, that's what I would demand from them. Full press. Force votes. Force the Republicans to show up in session. Of course, we know they won't have the spine to do it, but hey, we can always hope for Susan Collins to discover her moral compass, right?

WE know. We know you are petty like that. That's why we are doing it now.

" We know you are petty like that."

Proving, once again, nothing pisses off Republicans more than when Democrats act like them.

There are five year olds that wouldn't be immature enough to say something like that.

Well, Dems believe BLM is a human rights organization and don't care that they commit human rights atrocities like this article holds very little weight and, unfortunately, will be dismissed as such instead of taken in the context it should be taken.
