The largest city in Brazil's Amazon has closed bars and river beaches to contain a fresh surge of coronavirus cases, a trend that may dash theories that Manaus was one of the world's first places to reach collective, or herd, immunity.

Well, perhaps a total de-population will totally stop the deforestation. The world depends upon Brazilian Covid cases.

Brazil and the U.S., #2 and #1 in COVID cases in the world, respectively, share a common denominator:

Idiot presidents who mock mask wearing and pretend there isn't a pandemic happening.

Article states that antibodies may only last a few months.

The US is in for a rough ride if Trump is in the Oval Office for another 4 years.

But Trump doesn't care what the scientists say about it. He seems to be all in for herd immunity regardless of what the scientists say about it actually even being possible.

No herd immunity means we're ------.

"But Trump doesn't care what the scientists say about it."

Trump doesn't care about anyone but himself. It's part of his mental illness (malignant narcissism). He only cares about other people to the extent that caring about them is beneficial to him.

"Idiot presidents who mock mask wearing and pretend there isn't a pandemic happening."

No one is pretending a pandemic isn't happening. Most people are trying to pay their bills during the pandemic. Closing the country isn't conducive to that end. Thus, the hard choice has to be made whether to shut things down or continue letting people work by any means. There is no right or wrong answer.

"Trump used Herman Cain as a political prop for his Tulsa MAGA rally. Cain died a few weeks later and Trump never mentioned his name again or gave him a second thought. Ditto the GOP. Humans are expendable to them. 200k lost lives are proof of that."

"There is no right or wrong answer."

One day last week, Germany had one Covid death per 9 million people. Italy had one death per 9 million people. Canada had one death per 8.5 million people.

America had one death per 277,000 people.

You're a fekkin' idiot.

If you have "Herd Mentality" you don't care how many Americans die. As long as Criminally Negligent Trumpy holds onto power and stays out of jail.

Your entire cult pretended it was OVER and referred to it in the past tense at your cult's political convention a couple weeks ago.

Half your party thinks the whole thing is a hoax and refuses to wear masks, helping the virus spread and kill more people. The stupidity of your party is literally getting people killed. And you're here pretending that's not a problem.

You know what? Bulls hit.

The right answer was don't shut down anything. Test test test. Trace and quarantine and wear a damn mask. Physically distance yourself from everyone.

Until a vaccine available.

This is Trumpy's America. You and he built this. If you had done what needed to be done in the very beginning as every scientist had recommended we would not have a crashed economy.

Take your "no right answer" and shove it. The "right answer" was send masks to everyone and free and easy tests and isolate and quarantine.

All the scientists have told you what to do. You deplorables refused to do it and still refuse because Trumpy says it's a "Dem hoax". "15 cases soon to be zero." "It's just the flu!" "It will disappear like magic."

There are plenty of right answers. None of which Trumpy or you will listen to.

Standby by to stand by.

Danforth ""There is no right or wrong answer."
One day last week, Germany had one Covid death per 9 million people. Italy had one death per 9 million people. Canada had one death per 8.5 million people.
America had one death per 277,000 people."

Or, could look at it this way(if my simple math and the figures given are correct):

340,000,000(approximate total population) divided by 205,000(approximate deaths so far) = 1658.5 deaths per every one American.
That is 1 out of every 1658.5 Americans have died of the COVID in the USA.
By Christmas this will be 1 out of every 830 Americans. This could double again without a vaccine to 1 out of every 415 Americans.
