Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, October 05, 2020

A growing number of Secret Service agents have been concerned about the president's seeming indifference to the health risks they face when traveling with him in public, and a few reacted with outrage to the trip, asking how Trump's desire to be seen outside his hospital suite justified the jeopardy to agents protecting him.

The Trump presidency must needs heighten awareness of the terrible effects of mental illness.

Doesn't matter to the cult.

My FB feed is already loaded with "but what about the protestors/rioters" type justifications for this.

This was exactly the point my wife made when we heard about this on the news. She pointed out that the car is sealed against chemical attacks so the risk of infection is much greater. Nobody else matters to him. Well maybe Ivanka.

Dear Leader demands his adoration time no matter who suffers or dies because of it.

This something Kim Jong Un would do so it makes perfect sense that a narcissist wannabe dictator would demand his tribute time.

As reported in todays news, the glass between the driver and passenger compartment was up; the agents in the vehicle volunteered.

Reported in what news?
What's the AC system like in that automobile?
Why are so many people that actually are in the know about these things upset? Because they're all idiots and not some unquoted unattributed "news" site or person said something you can finally hold on to desperately so that your Dear Leader won't look quite so bad?

No idea about the glass, but if the AC or any air circulation was on, that glass doesn't protect jack.

As for "volunteering", I am good friends with a former SS agent who was the driver for a couple Presidents. Only a small number of agents receive clearance for this duty and, yes, you volunteer to undergo the process to become an authorized driver, HOWEVER, once that happens, if they tell you that you're on vehicle duty, you're ON vehicle duty.

"Where are the adults?" said a former Secret Service member.

Not in the R party, that's for sure.

NBC
www.nbcnews.com
Lewandowski said he was told that the detail leader of the Secret Service and the driver "both volunteered for that assignment."
"They were not required to do that," he said. "They both volunteered, and there was a piece of Plexiglass, I believe, between the president and the two Secret Service agents who were in the vehicle."

RevDarko sighting!

.

Trump's ego overrides any safety concerns, whether in a car or for the whole nation.

The Secret Service is usually not discussed in a political sense....meaning they don't get politicized......until now.

Under Trump, even the Secret Service gets dragged into politics.

#12 - So "As reported in todays news, the glass between the driver and passenger compartment was up; the agents in the vehicle volunteered" turned out to be a piece of plexiglas "I believe" and the agents "volunteering" is all from Lewandowski, a certified piece of scum and liar?

Even with it not being Lewandowsi it's not what you said.

Good to know that the Secret Service has been taking steps to protect themselves from the President.

Wait, what?

Well there you go, Trump's team says everything was cool and safe. Why would they lie?

Trump's presidency in a nutshell.

He has zero clue how to conduct himself as President of the USA. He has zero clue, and drags people down w/ him.

Nice to hear from the Rev.

If it was not hermetically sealed with separate ac for front and back then it probably is now.

We won't know the truth of what happened in 2020 for years.

All I can still say is this is the best Apprentice Episode ever.

Lies built upon lies. Better than an Episode of Lost.

We never know what the Trumpy will do next.

He is like Eric Cartman and Mr Toad from The Wind in the Willows all rolled into one.

And here we are all on Mr Toads Wild Tide together.

Unfortunately over 200,000 of have died on this ride and we are scheduled to lose 200,000 more on Mr Toads Wild Ride.

It's not a very safe ride.

You know, because they couldn't even see their loved ones while they died from the Trump Virus

There is no diplomacy in a Trump Presidency. They're either with him or against him. I have no doubt that behind the scenes Donald has even worked to divide the Secret Service and demand their loyalty.

Of course. I'm sure everyone in the WH is hoping to get the Mac-a-ninny vaca.

Because that's all this hoax is, right? No possibility of death, and never any lingering effects, right? And clearly, this proves there's no such thing as asymptomatic contagion...right?

Boy...those mask folks really turned out to be stupid, didn't they.
