Leftist or rightist.

If someone murders someone, that person should face the law.

Period. Full stop.

What is the question here?

Is a distinction between "murders" and "kills" trying to be drawn?

Because that might be an interesting discussion....

Ol' Boaz done got hisself some red meat.

LOL!!!

So?

I'm starting to think Boaz is secretly pissed the MI "militiamen" didn't succeed.

So he's a leftist? Anything anywhere reliable that makes that claim?

I know the right-wing was going nuts accusing the shooter of being Antifa at first. Then the Denver Police had to come out and say "will you all stop listening to and spreading all these rumors?"

We know he worked for Pinkerton Security and was hired for protection by the News company.

Also there's no indication of which side the guy that was shot was on. Wouldn't surprise me if he was a "patriot" since those folks have really turned out to be lowilfe scum. You know what the saying is "'When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

Anyway, back to a few facts:

He was there with the Patriot Prayer rally. Multiple witnesses, twitter pictures, etc, verify that.

He walked up for a fight, slapped the security guard, bear sprayed him, and got shot to death for it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Kyle Rittenhouse wasn't a licensed security guard either, but that didn't stop rightwingwers from calling him a hero and donating millions to his ------- attorneys.

In Colorado, deadly force can be used only if person reasonably believes that a lesser degree of force is inadequate and that person reasonably believes that they or another person is in imminent danger of being killed or about to sustain great bodily injury.

"That pepper spray may cause great bodily injury. [It] could blind you," [criminal defense attorney Christopher] Decker said.

Photos by the Denver Post capture the entire confrontation and shooting. It is as Sitzkrieg described it. The only unresolved question is who owned the second gun cops said was at the scene.

While it may be legal self defense to shoot someone who is spraying you with bear mace (the same situation that happened in Portland), it is crazy how quick people are to shoot these days.

If you see the video of the aftermath, cops were 40-60 feet away from this shooting, in direct sight and were there in 10-15 seconds. The security guard wasn't going to be seriously harmed or killed by the right-winger unless he was planning on taking his gun and using it.

I miss the days when self defense laws had an obligation to remove yourself from a situation if possible before using lethal force.

Agreed. For both sides.

iirc, Colorado has a "Make My Day" law, which contrasts with "Stand Your Ground". The Duty to Retreat is different, in that a Make My Day version of the law only removes that duty within your own dwelling. Castle Doctrine applies to your vehicle, etc.

I hadn't and still haven't seen that, and thanks for the confirmation on what happened. I was going on what I've read which is two protests going on at the same time and one person was shot - which is all I've read from the Denver police to date.

There's misinformation circulating about it, with the order of photos swapped. It's a half ass propaganda attempt, a hat magically appears on a guy in the second photo which happened first.

I appreciate the facts, Sitz.
Because of all the misinformation I had blocked out all information except that which was officially released.

Picture 4 of 16 on that shows the victim, Keltner, wearing a BLM shirt. Not sure how that factors into the calculus anymore.
(It might be anti-blm somehow in the writing below the massive BLM, I suppose. Hard to make out more than '-------' ....'lives matt'...

Pic 1 of 3 has him being yelled at by someone else in a BLM shirt.
Pic 2 of 3 shows as well the BLM ....'------- right'....'lives matter'

This is important. Read this as many times as it takes, Avigdore:

The victim, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital, was affiliated with the Patriot's group. His t-shirt read, "BLM You're ---- Right Bikers Lives Matter."

Patriot shot Trump domestic terrorist who was reaching for his gun. Justified.
