The California Republican Party has faced questions over unofficial drop-off boxes set up to collect mail-in ballots across the state. Reports of such boxes, which claim to be official, have been shared with the California Secretary of State, Alex Padilla -- who has suggested they could be illegal.

Hey, Republicans. Why are you such scum? Dropped on your heads at birth? or did you just sort of grow into the role?

Yeah, we're going to find mail-in ballots dumped in a creek somewhere. Republicans did it.

lowlife pieces of ----.

Whoever set this up needs to be jailed.

But...but...but... THAT'S CHEATING!

So I was watching Back To The Future on TV last night. I think the character of Biff Tannen is just an analogy for the entire GOP.

71.8% voted democratic 2016.

Just throw this in with other GOP illegal acts such as robo calls blocking get out the vote calls, flyers on cars saying urban neighborhoods vote on Wednesday and putting up billboards saying police will be patrolling polling places.

#5 Yep, Biff Tannen will be in Florida campaigning tonight.

Why are Republicans setting up their own vote-by-mail drop-off boxes? They're NOT marked as being controlled by the Republican Party, in fact, they seemed to have worked quite hard to give people the impression that they're official drop-off boxes. I wonder what Trump would say about that? I mean, couldn't someone use this as a way to intercept ballots and then perhaps 'sort' some of the them out and "dump them in some river somewhere"?

could be illegal

COULD BE?

If not illegal, the CA legislature/governor should get busy and make them illegal with stiff fines/jail time for anyone deploying such boxes.

And like Biff Tannen, the GOP inevitably always seems to find itself sitting in a huge pile of manure.

Republicans committing fraud to prove there's fraud.

How typical

"Mail in voter fraud" was a campaign promise.

The elections commission needs to remove and destroy them. Arrest those involved with election fraud.

Unless there was extreme gerrymandering, I cannot imagine many divisions of the State of California into smaller pieces that would result in Republicans gaining any Senators. This State is 70% liberal. Yes, most Republicans are clustered in certain in-land rural areas and a Republican district could be carved out of those. But generally speaking, a non-political division of California is basically just going to result in a lot more Democrats getting voted to Federal office. The number favor the Democrats overwhelmingly.

Redistricting in California has already been taken out of the hands of the California State Legislature. It's now the responsibility of an independent, nonpartisan commission.

Whether or not it is illegal by California law, it is a violation of Federal law.

"Intentionally deceiving qualified voters to prevent them from voting is voter suppression"and it is a federal crime."

Good luck with that.

Hopefully, these were actually set up by progressives, who will pick them up and dump them in the Los Angeles River. (I.e., the wash www.google.com)

More Cheating from a Party
of low-lifes, liars and cheaters...
truly deplorable.

I see, as usual, a lot of you didn't actually research the facts.

This is the best quote about the topic. Again, not saying Reps are right for doing this, but Dems are equally as corrupt:

"Democrat anger is overblown when state law allows organizations, volunteers or campaign workers to collect completed ballots and drop them off at polling places or election offices."

You can argue it all you want but Cali state law does allow anyone to do what the GOP is doing. It is LEGAL, in a state that has been Liberal for years, so they obviously never saw a problem with it until the GO found a way to use it against them. Dems have been doing this for a long time in Cali so calling Reps cheaters and liars only serves to describe the Dems as well.

20 - Humtake, before you get all self righteous and claim we are idiots take a look in the mirror. The GOP collection boxes were posted with notices that said they were "Official" drop boxes. That is ILLEGAL because they are not official boxes and instead belong to other originations who are harvesting ballots to turn in. Make sure you actually "research the facts" before pointing at others next time.

In Cali it is legal to harvest ballots, so long as you properly identify it as such.

Why can't California just become an independent nation? We would use our newly created military to take over and colonize Nevada, Utah and the rest of the Rocky Mountain West to supply us with water. We would go 100% electric within 20 years and clean up the environment. We would have more food and farm produce than just about any nation on Earth. We would rent control the entire coast. Build and maintain the biggest kick ass Navy in the world and control most of the Pacific. And live happily ever after. Let Texas, Alabama and the Carolinas fend for themselves.

The law requires:
1. The Voter must authorize the person who returns the Ballot and the Designee has to sign the ballot with their relationship to the Voter
2. It's not legal to pose as an election officer

Why the Republican Boxes are Illegal:
1. The voter can't authorize the box to return their ballot and has no way of authorizing a random third party
2. The boxes are marked as Official. That would be posing as election officers.

Some Republican Officials are headed to Jail.

How is it possible that one person can be so easily proven wrong on such a consistent basis without eventually realizing they have no idea what they are talking about?

#24 | Posted by johnny_hotsauce at 2020-10-13 03:16 PM | Reply

Wow. Republican fraud...it's almost like there's a pattern.

Everywhere in the USA.

Vote them out, all of them. We can clean up the much smaller mess later, but vote against every Republican.

"Why can't California just become an independent nation? "

We may not have a choice soon.

We used to be the United States. Californians are mostly firm believers / defenders of the Constitution and that principle. (Tho some are not! There is That 10% everywhere) Once we become the Divided States of America under Trumpy(Gawd forbid) then California will still be a defender of the Constitution but that principle may not apply in the Divided States of America and go by the wayside like so many norms have already.

Why can't California just become an independent nation?

We will stay The United States or we will not. We are already divided. And. We already are very independent. We stand up to Trump and Trumpism all the time. We go our own way and the rest follow.

Interestingly Texas is a lot like that, too. That's why together we are /were so powerful. Duh.

Anyway we all live and learn. And if Trump goes over the line, which he already has many times, California will be here to stop him. But it won't only be just us. All of the west coast and more would go with us if that kind of crazy happens. It would not be pretty. You think brexit was/is bad?

I am glad I won't live long enough to see it.

Unless I can get me some of that Super Duper Superman cocktail from Walter Reed. That stuff makes you immune to everything! Even death I hear. That's what They say!
