As the confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett proceed this week, Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are pushing the Supreme Court nominee to answer whether she would recuse herself from considering cases related to this fall's presidential election.

Yeah. Good luck with that.

She could say she had dead aborted babies for breakfast. Does not matter what she says. She will be confirmed.

Lindsey Graham proved that conservatives are liars and hypocrites and are not to be trusted to honor their word.

Trump would lose his mind if she agreed to recuse herself. He'd withdraw her nomination and find someone who will do his bidding. She demonstrates how cynical she actually really is by refusing to agree to recuse herself.

#3 I ageee, if she said she would recuse herself from cases concerning the elections, Trump would pull the nomination. She is transparently willing to say whatever she has to. Cynical doesn't even begin to describe it. She's almost on the payroll as it were. Her positions about all the major cases that concern the administration were fully understood by both parties before she got the nod.

The supreme court has been corrupted by politics since at least Bush vs Gore.

Scalia, her "mentor" led the charge to disenfranchise Florida for Bush, the murdering pig. She is completely corrupt.

Time will show all.

#4 She's so bad at faking non-partisanship. On one hand, she refused to opine on hypothetical cases because "that's not the SCOTUS way" (when a democrat asks); on the other hand; she wants to suck scalia's microdick even though he was the ------- king of uncalled for, unjudicial, and anti-constitutional opining on politics and hypotheticals.

Obviously it's too small.

If Barrett wants to separate her tenure on the SC with its tenuous beginning as a Trump appointee, recusing herself from cases related to the election would be a good way to start.

When Democratic Senators asked Judge Barrett about whether she agrees with Donald Trump on things like Rove v Wade, the ACA, climate change, etc, while she appears to KNOW who Donald Trump is, she gives the impression that she has NO idea whatsoever of what his views and positions are, because as she appeared to suggest, she's never actully read anything that he's written nor listened to anything that he has ever said. Has she been living in some bubble somewhere, where there's NO TV, NO internet, NO newspapers? If what she says in true, she's totally unqualified to hold any position due to a lack of curiosity or even awareness of the world around her. And if she's lying, well that should disqualify her as well.
