White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows confirmed in court on Tuesday that President Trump's tweets authorizing the disclosure of documents related to the Russia investigation and Hillary Clinton's emails "were not self-executing declassification orders," after a federal judge demanded that Trump be asked about his intentions.

So the Chief of Staff just admitted to a Judge that Pres Trudge lies in his tweets, tweets that are the official statement of the Office of the President of the United States.

Shouldn't the court demand an actual affidavit from Trump himself, since it was his tweet that started all this?

Isn't anything Meadows says hearsay on its face?

Based on the numerous times Trump's tweets have been acted upon with the same force as his written commands, I hope Judge Walton chooses to use those examples as the basis for his ruling since the President himself cannot be bothered to reply to a mere federal judge.

@#3 ... This must be the October surprise I've been hearing so much about. ...

Not really.

This is just a step in the process towards the Judge ruling on the case.

Yes.

But I think the judge realizes the likelihood of Trump challenging any such order that he, as President, avail himself of this litigation process (as he does 100% of the time with respect to everything else) so in the interest of reaching a resolution it seems the judge is willing to accept less than the best evidence.

I read Mark Meadows declaration under oath. He might as well just say that Trump is high on cocaine most of the time and, much like a drunken fool pontificating from a barstool, he shouldn't be held responsibility for what he tweets.

Meadows is a glorified babysitter.

99.999 percent of Trumpy tweets are false.

The rest are just plain wrong.

Nope, sorry you can't change a precedent whenever it suits you. Since the early days of the Regime when Sean Spicer claimed that Dotard's tweets carried the force of law as official Presidential statements, to the military jumping through hoops everytime Orange Adolf fires off one of his illiterate military policy tweets, they have been seen as official statements. Now just because DOJ knows how bad the unredacted Mueller Report would be for Barr and Dotard, they're trying to change the rules mid-game. I hope the judge sees through this and releases the entire thing unredacted, serve him right, he'd be responsible for an October Surprise against himself, lol.

The judge accepted the White House statement and has denied the FOIA requests.

The judge confirmed that the President's tweets are false.

Thank you for confirming that in a court of law it has been determined that the President lies.

How comforting to know just before an election. Which could also decide whether we will EVER know the TRUTH about what really happened if Impeached Trumpy and the Deplorables get 4 more years to bury it.
