US national security officials have reported Iran was responsible for sending threatening emails to Democratic voters. The emails appeared to come from a far-right pro-Trump group and were meant to "incite unrest", National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe said. Mr Ratcliffe also said US officials found Iran and Russia have obtained "some voter registration information".

FBI is focusing on Iran to distract from the fact that its mainly russia, and they're trying to help trump, because trump is putin's hand puppet.

Trump is threatening publicly to fire FBI Dir Wrey and DOJ's Barr because so far they've refused to file charges against a Biden... any Biden for any reason will apparently do.

Of course, this kind of pressure can help him get other things from them he wants.

We've known this for months, if not years already. Good thing the Republicans have vowed to fight foreign interference in our elections, passed strong laws to protect our elections, agreed to NOT accept foreign aid in campaigns and enforced strong sanctions to prevent this from happening again. I would hate to think about what might happen if it weren't for our Republican protectors!

This was a very strange press conference which had the feeling of pure politics. President Obama was dominating media coverage with a great day in PA taking it to Combove Quisling over his scandals and his incompetence, when all of a sudden this hastily put together news conference is rushed out with no warning. Political hack "DNI" Ratface talks about Iran and Russia having voter data, which is readily available to almost anybody with a public records request. He claimed that Iran circulated emails intended to hurt Trump, but never actually mentions what they are. If he's talking about the supposed Proud Baes emails, they are intended to suppress Democratic voter turnout, so how does that hurt Dotard? Also, Ratface rushed in a quick "thanks to Drumpf our elections are the safest they've ever been" or some such BS, when we know the opposite is true because Orange Adolf has done everything he can to damage our electoral system. Then Wray gets up there, and looking for all the world like he's participating in a hostage video, basically reads a statement from the FBI website about securing the elections. There was no info other than maybe the Proud Baes emails came from Iran but even that wasn't clear.

Pure politics to change the news cycle.

That so called "Press conference" did not look or sound right. In fact, Radcliff screwed up the end of the script. The emails were trying to help Trump. Radcliff said they were trying to hurt Trump.

In fact, Radcliff blew his line so bad, I doubt if he even read one of the emails.

That whole scene sounded more like a precursor of the evidence Trump is planning to use when he takes his case of fraud to the Supreme Court.

Trump has been turned down twice for lack of evidence ~~ so now he's decided to manufacture his own.

WHAT a sad sack.

"I don't see any reason why it would be Russia.'"

Errr. Ummm. I mean...

"I said the word 'would' instead of 'wouldn't,'"

Trump explained, speaking at the White House more than 24 hours after his news conference with Putin began drawing fire from allies and critics alike.

"The sentence should have been, 'I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia.'"

"I think that probably clarifies things pretty good by itself," Trump said.

I'm a Democrat and I live in Florida. My feelings are hurt because I didn't get one of those emails.

I was hoping to reply with a computerized middle finger.

@#5 ... so now he's decided to manufacture his own. ...

Hey, if Mr Giuliani can manufacture evidence, why can't pres Trump?

LAMP

We all know Radcliff is a snake-in-the grass.

Chris Wray looked like he was saying his final words in front of a firing squad.

That's funny you view it that way, but Iran has a massively stronger financial incentive from a Biden admin than a Trump admin which is still pressing for sactions.

Trump has given Iran exactly what it wants. He tore up the nuclear treaty and has made America so impotent Trump can't get England and France to back any new sanctions against Iran.

Not only that. His attack on that Iranian general helped the conservative narrative against America.

The only thing Trump has done is helped Iran and Russia become allies.

You missed the point.

Radcliff said the emails were intended to HURT trump. In fact, they said the exact opposite.

Radcliff got it assbackwards.

You should pull up a copy and read one even if Radcliff couldn't be bothered

They said that they had our voting record and home addresses. They said if Democrats didn't change our registration and vote for Trump they would come and "get" us.

I took the "pitch" for exactly what it was. An effort by Trump to start manufacturing the evidence he needs to take his fraud case the Supreme Court ~ using Radcliff and Wray as witnesses of fact.

The problem is ~ it's all backwards.

Maybe they can tell what is real and what is fake news.
We sure can't.

And where are the Dems? Absolutely NOWHERE. The only action they have taken to any of this is to blame Reps, which completely ignores the very real fact that these foreign countries aren't caring about what each person's political beliefs are. They want to spread turmoil. But instead of actually trying to do anything about it, they just point the finger. So when a Dem gets the POTUS seat, it's going to be a free-for-all for foreign countries. And I'm sure Dems will still point fingers instead of actually trying to find solutions.

I don't understand why you are so unhappy with Trumplandia. This is Trumplandia. The Dems are not in charge.

All thanks and blame goes to Trumpy and his Deplorables for failing to protect us again.
