Former President Barack Obama on Saturday laced into President Donald Trump, describing his successor as a thin-skinned bully whose true weakness was revealed when he walked off the set of a high profile interview this week after being faced with a few probing questions. "He likes to act tough and talk tough. He thinks scowling and being mean is tough," Obama said at a drive-in rally in South Florida. "But when '60 Minutes' and Lesley Stahl are too tough for you, you ain't all that tough."

"The former president, who has remained an obsession of Trump's throughout his time in office, described the President's behavior as "not normal" and compared him unfavorably to "Florida Man," an internet meme that plays on news headlines about wild, unruly and often illegal behavior.

"You wouldn't tolerate it from a coworker. You wouldn't tolerate it from a high school principal. You wouldn't tolerate it from a coach. You wouldn't tolerate it from a family member," Obama said, reciting a litany of Trump's most outlandish actions. "'Florida man' wouldn't even do this stuff. Why are we accepting it from the President of the United States?"

But Obama returned throughout his speech to the spiraling pandemic and Trump's response -- and his failure to chart out a coherent one that addresses the scale of the crisis.

"Eight months into this pandemic, new cases are breaking records. Donald Trump isn't going to suddenly protect all of us. He can't even take the basic steps to protect himself," Obama said."

"The reason they don't show you their plan to actually provide people protections when it comes to preexisting conditions is because they don't have one, and they never have," Obama said.

"That's just a fact. And instead of just 'fessing up that they don't want people to have health insurance, they've attacked the Affordable Care Act at every turn."

Not to mention Obama had a pandemic control agency IN PLACE but some stooge disbanded it.

Donald Trump is made out of tissue paper. The Republican Party has elevated a man you could wipe your ass with. Not for the last time, I wonder who or what Trumpites are. If Trump is what they admire, then they are empty shells begging to be enslaved by anyone who merely pretends to have a personality.

The polls show: Seniors 65% for Biden ~~ 35% for Trump.

Trump has notoriously bad judgement. He picked on the wrong blue hairs.

It was inevitable.

Trump understands seniors as well as he understands urban "housewives." ~~ LOL

Trump's billionaire schtick and his smart guy schtick are also frauds.

Unfortunately for our country, MAGAts are gullible and stupid.

I've said it before, and I'll probably say it more times in the future...

If Pres Trump is such a snowflake when faced with simple questions from a reporter, how does he do when he is face-to-face with world leaders?

Look at this picture of Pres Trump and Pres Putin leaving the conference room in Helsinki.

Pres Trump is cowering in Pres Putin's presence.

I tend to agree, but Pres trump becoming president was all about breaking norms, wasn't it?

If Pres Trump is not re-elected, I suspect his twitter account will be quite active speaking so nastily about the current President. Will you be so anxious to say the same about Pres Trump?

Is bitem cheats, then I certainly expect some "Trumpeting".
If he wins with a landslide as per the polls, I expect Trump to bow out quietly.

I've watched Pres Trump for decades, couldn't avoid him. Why couldn't I avoid him?

Because he does not know how to "bow out gracefully."

Yeah sure boomer. You want I see some sour grapes? What until Trumpy loses.

It's just too bad for Trumpy (and quite telling) that he doesn't have any former presidents that will come out and speak for him.

The only people Tr*** bows to are dictators. The only thing he does gracefully is nothing.

In cahoots with who? The rest of America? They were Presidents. Of the United States.

You don't value their opinions?

Are you sure you are American?

@#3 ... Donald Trump is made out of tissue paper. ...

Could that be why he is so afraid of getting wet?

But more to the point of this thread...

The only people Pres Trump really stands up to are those he can easily overpower with his empty bluster.

Anyone who does stand up to him, such as Leslie Stahl, Pres Trump tries to trivialize and demean.

There is a reason why Pres Trump likes calling in to the Fox and Friends and Hannity shows, he knows they will lob him only easy questions that make him look good, i.e., feed his voracious ego.

Leader Kim used Pres Trump in a similar manner, feeding his ego.

Based upon his actions, Pres Trump looks like a bully.

From Random House Unabrodged dictionary...

...bully, n., pl. -lies, v., -lied, -lying, adj., interj.

1. a blustering, quarrelsome, overbearing person who habitually badgers and intimidates smaller or weaker people....

Yup.

How was he being "nasty"? Did he give him an insulting nickname that an elementary school kid would make up? Did he talk bad about and insult his kids? Did he tell lies and amplify conspiracy theories about him?

Oh... sorry. I know... you hold liberals to a much higher standard than a conservative. Because we all know a liberal would NOT do those things. Only a true conservative would do things like that. And, because only real conservatives do those things, you don't consider them "nasty".

#21 | POSTED BY PHESTEROBOYLE AT 2020-10-25 11:55 AM | FLAG:

Obama has been the subject of trump's school boy taunts and childish tirades for four years. No actually, 12 years, ever since Obama got elected. But much worse since Trump was elected.

I will never take you seriously, since you can't acknowledge that Trump has been the single most uncivilized, intentionally divisive president in history. No other president would be so unwilling to even attempt to bring all sides together during the many crises we have faced in one horrible term.

The fact that you believe, or anyone can believe, that three ex-presidents from different parties could be "in cahoots" against Trump for no valid reason proves nothing more than your willingness to adopt this madman's paranoid rantings as your own. If there are cahoots to be in, they are the cahoots of reason, competence, civility and leadership. That automatically excludes Trump.
