Amy Coney Barrett's White House celebration: "The merriment had all the subtlety of a sledgehammer: Barrett stood in the spotlight, on a White House balcony in front of the presidential seal, alongside Trump who beamed with pride before an applauding audience, which included Republican senators who spent last week pretending they have no idea how the far-right ideologue will rule on cases of lasting import."

She's going to be villainized by the media.

Justice earned. Justice served.

Man, Fat Nixon needs to get some new fat shirts with more neckroom, his mangina neck is spilling over that collar like Niagra falls. He's got more Chins than a Chinese phonebook. You can't tell where his chin ends and where his neck begins.

Justice Barrett attended another COVID-19 superspreader event?

I thought Supreme Court Justices were supposed to be smart.

Did Trump grab her by the -----, just for good measure? Or are her beef curtains even flappier than Trump's jowls, after fulfilling her primary wifely duty of being a receptacle for a better person's seed?

They found the person with the least experience and gave her a seat because she's a religious lunatic, hard core righty, and a Donald Trump cultist.

But she's white. So Republicans could care about her credibility or credentials.

"Barrett's first decision was wrong."

Yeah, she answered a phone call from the White House.

Any judge who would stoop low enough sell their soul to Trump has a black heart and an evil mind.

How many judges dream of the opportunity of serving on the supreme court?

You take the call when you get it. If she believes she's qualified, then she reconciles herself to the fact that Trump is gone in no time and she's there for another 40 years.

Every justice (and thousands more judges out there) believe their skills, aptitude, and legal minds deserve to be where they are.

If She passes on this then she's punted that once in a lifetime opportunity forever, likely.

You may not like her but it's not about having a black heart or an evil mind for simply accepting the nomination to the supreme court.

When the Dems make the mistake of expanding the courts, you won't be nearly as snarky. In fact, it's attitudes like yours that encourage Dems to expand the courts.

Not that HUMTAKE on the DR has any sway on anyone or anything, but the right people in the right positions who offer your sentiment are definitely pushing Dems over the edge. It's not smart, it's actually begging for a winner's curse.

Enjoy the election, while you still can.

-When the Dems make the mistake of expanding the courts,

If they have the sufficient control.....do you really think they'll do it?

Seriously.....how many people believe the dems will expand the court if given the chance?

How much do you actually know about Coney?

She just became a judge in 2017. Trump nominated her.

Prior to 2017 she was a teacher.

She's never even tried a case.

She's highly under qualified.

But she's being seated on the Supreme Court.

Why would she be given a seat so quickly?

Because she's a lunatic. A right wing religious whacko. A fire and brimstone Christian. She's a danger to society and the biggest stain Trump will leave on this nation.

I believe it. You add up everything the Republican Senate has done AGAINST the Democrats in terms of the SCOTUS (especially the recently former school teacher Barrett's ram through) and it becomes significantly likely, IMO.

Neither has Kavanaugh.
Hmmm...

Just another reason to expand the Supreme Court.

You have two unqualified morons on it simply because they're willing to put Trump above country.
