...accusing the evangelical college of damaging his reputation...

Typical Trumper behavior to assign blame. Hint, Jerry: The only person that ruined your reputation was you!

Nah...don't you get it? It was Liberty that forced him to have that drink, Liberty that made him unzip his pants, Liberty that told him to put his arm around that girl, and Liberty who posted the pic!

Peddling the Gospel for profit has a habit of biting one in the ass.

Liberty University has been riddled with scandal all the way back to Jr's dad and the Jim and Tammy Fay Bakker affair.

Liberty University could burn to the ground and no sensible person would try to stop it.

Liberty University is a cancer in higher education. It makes a mockery of academia.

The loss to Mr. Falwell's reputation couldn't be more than 25 cents.

" It makes a mockery of academia."

At least in their law school. They're teaching their law students that biblical law supersedes man's law and should be considered in court above statutory law.

Seems like Jerry Cuckhold Jr has defamed himself. As the Lincoln Project posted the Evangenital pegboard is responsible for his own actions.

It's a ridiculous legal concept for either defense or prosecution, I agree. I can't even imagine such a question on a bar exam. And certainly no case could be founded strictly on biblical dogma.

It was what came after. Liberty, being a religion based university, Falwell, Sr. was keenly interested in using their religious dogma, not as evidence nor as the basis of a case, but rather more subtly to identify the like minded during voir dire. Religious sob-sisters, so to speak.

I was told this several year ago by a Liberty Law School graduate. He laughed when he said he learned from experience as a young attorney that taking Falwell's advice lost him more cases than he won.
