The Michigan State Board of Canvassers voted Monday to certify the state's election results, formally granting President-elect Joe Biden the state's 16 electoral votes.

Will he/won't he? Will they/won't they? Guess will find out soon enough:

According to Michigan GOP Rep. Paul Mitchell, who said he spoke days ago with Norman Shinkle, one of the two GOP members on the board, Shinkle indicated last week he would vote against certifying the election results until an investigation is completed so as to push a delay even though there is no evidence of fraud or malfeasance that would necessitate such a move.

Depending on how Aaron Van Langevelde, the other GOP member of the board, casts his vote, Mitchell told CNN either members of the Trump team end up delaying the certification of the election results or they have something that they can point to as evidence of unfairness, even if it isn't. Van Langevelde's family told CNN he would have no comment on his expected vote.

And when they do, can they then be charged with taking a bribe?

What a pile of fecal matter. There are 450 alleged "irregularities" in a state Biden won by over 150,000 votes.

Profiles In Cowardice.

Shinkle[, the GOP Michigan Board member expected to vote against certification,] has previously said he is thinking about voting to delay the process; his wife Mary filed an affidavit for the since-dropped Trump campaign lawsuit trying to block the certification.

Seems like he has no choice in the matter because of his wife. Reminds me of the personal and professional dynamics between Clarence Thomas and his wife.

Happy wife, happy life...

450 votes in a county with over 878,000 votes. Note the Wayne county Republicans ONLY wanted the City of Detroit audited and were fine with Livonia (90% white) having the second most of the total 450 votes to not be audited.

As the article points out an actual Audit is not possible under Michigan Election Law until AFTER Certification. On what possible basis could any board member have for NOT certifying the vote based on the law? Zero. TECHNICALLY they would be breaking the law. The counties all certified their votes. Even that debacle in Wayne. The board cannot even call for an investigation. That is not their role.

Again this is over less than 450 votes. In a state won by Biden

Balancing was an issue in Wayne County like all counties. Usually the issue with balancing is the result of people leaving lines, paper jams in voting machines or other human error. The vast majority of issues resulted in differences of fewer than five votes per precinct. In Wayne County, the number of precincts whose votes were off by five or more was 5.7 percent (36 precincts out of over 600) - COUNTY wide. The city of Detroit is slightly the majority of those 600+ total precincts. Keep in mind that Biden won by over 154,000 votes... This county is approximately 16% of the statewide vote. What kind of Trumped up reasoning could lead any rational person to think less than 450 votes would have any impact legitimate impact on the Presidential election in Michigan. If Trump has an issue he can pay for the recount but instead we have the state level officials bending over for him and sipping Dom while they take it.

This kind of madness drives me insane but in a trumper's mind it makes perfect sense.

A great read: Bridge Michigan on the election in Michigan
Also of note from the article but not being investigated: "The report concluded that issues with Dominion voting systems in Antrim County did not recur statewide. The county's Republican clerk this week told state lawmakers that she made a mistake with a software update that caused vote totals for President Trump and Democrat Joe Biden to flip. The problem was quickly corrected."

Yep. 1/20th of 1%.

Don't get me wrong. I think all of these demands for audits and investigations are complete nonsense, particularly given the margin of victory. But an article I saw on CNN left me confused by the procedure.

The problem with Shinkle's request [for an audit or investigation ...], is an audit or investigation into election results cannot be done until election results are certified. [...] The request for an audit into Wayne County is specifically moot because the county certified its results on November 17.

Maybe it's just sloppy reporting by CNN, but it seems like a no-win situation in terms of asking for audits. If he asks for an audit now, it's premature, but he's also too late to ask for an audit of Wayne County.

Damned meeting is still going on. Racially motivated demands They didn't challenge results in Oakland County or any others Trump won because they're mostly white.

The wife who was part of the lawsuit that got thrown out? She had her chance and lost. No second bites of the apple.

All should be willing to view the proof offered. None should be permitted to force others to agree with empty speculation. 450 bad votes? OK. Throw them out. What's the state-wide tally now? Any other problem votes? Do they add up to 150,000? if not, all should agree that we're done here...

I watched the certification meeting live on YouTube (thank you AMERICANUNITY). They had a public comment session where people could call and they had two minutes to comment on the proceedings. After about a dozen citizens had spoken, 100% of which were in favor of immediate certification and because there were over 500 calls in the Que, the chairperson moved to close the public comment session and immediately move to a vote, which they did.

Note that the Michigan Board of State Canvassers is made-up of four members, two Democrats and two Republicans. The final vote was three for certification with one abstention.

Send my apologies over to the Kry Klub, I will try to be a nicer p---y (kitty cat) from now on.
