Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein has named the 21 Republican senators who he claims have "privately expressed" their "extreme contempt" for President Donald Trump. In a series of tweets on Sunday evening, Bernstein, 76, listed 21 GOP senators who he claimed had expressed concern to him over Trump's presidency. ... "The 21 GOP Senators who have privately expressed their disdain for Trump are: Portman, Alexander, Sasse, Blunt, Collins, Murkowski, Cornyn, Thune, Romney, Braun, Young, Tim Scott, Rick Scott, Rubio, Grassley, Burr, Toomey, McSally, Moran, Roberts, Shelby. With few exceptions, their craven public silence has helped enable Trump's most grievous conduct--including undermining and discrediting the US electoral system."

As if this matters, they are all a permanent stain on society. Even Romney let the ABC debacle happen. Traitors of the worst sort, every single one of them.

@#2 ... Republicans are cowards. ...

You are being too kind with that ascription.

The Republicans who have "privately expressed" their "extreme contempt" for President Donald Trump are not cowards.

The are abdicating their oath to uphold the Constitution by placing their loyalty to a man over their loyalty to the Country.

Yet, how many have openly stated such. Bereft of courage, the lot of them.

The GOP is full of "good cops" who don't do anything when the "bad cops" are kneeling on America's neck.

I have a suspicion that Trumptibunkerboi's meltdown is so severe that full disclosure of it poses a national security issue. I'm not kidding! The silence on the blue side of the aisle is only broken by cursory hand slapping now and then over the obvious.

Might even be competing with the Cuban Crisis

21 GOP Senators Privately Voice Contempt for Trump

Way to go Carl! Force them to take a position publicly.

Rather than take a moral/patriotic stand, those cowards were hoping that the dems would get rid of Trump without them risking their positions.

Now, let's see what they do.

They have shown themselves to be spineless time and again. Most live in fear of the next primary - not the actual election but the primary.

Screw individual Senators. At what point is the Official GOP, Inc., going to acknowledge the results of this election?

Cowards, all of them.

The Republican Party has shown its true colors supporting this worthless pile of dung, and I will never trust them again as long as I live.
