What a load of self-serving claptrap. Emily knows precisely whom she works for and weighed his protestations over the historical precedence of every single one of her predecessors since the Act became law who all ascertained once he election was called - but for 2000 and the one-state Florida debacle.

While Congress may indeed need to tighten up the language of the act, there is no way in hell that Emily would have held up the transition ascertainment if the President had conceded after the in-questioned multiple states were called like they are every election.

I would have liked to see any GSA director unilaterally decide that until states actually certify their electoral results they will not ascertain and let the President-elect begin his transition because it has never happened before and I doubt that it will happen again - until another anti-democratic authoritarian tries again to foment a coup in order to stay in office once he's decisively lost an election.

Exactly! I read her letter and thought pretty much the same thing but way more colorful! Yuck!

Actually Hair Furor is taking credit for "releasing the Kracken" called Emily because of all the pressure and threats that she was receiving.

Well, at least she can have a sympathy drink with Brad Raffensperger and Brian Kemp down in Georgia along with all the election workers in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. They all feel her pain.

Things may not be as good as they were under Clinton or Obama but they will be better than under Bush and that other guy who we never need speak of again unless we are part of the upcoming court cases.

So Murphy's letter says that she independently made her decision to proceed, but Trump just tweeted that he instructed Murphy to proceed with the transition.

The people who worked with Trump will be wiping his lying stench off of themselves for years.

I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused " and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good...

...fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same.

Biden wins 80 million votes , weeks after Election Day, and every Trump legal challenge thrown out?

well, let's not jump the gun just yet.

The Oligarchs issue a statement to transition or donations to the party get cut off. 45 minutes later?

GSA will begin transition proceedings immediately

I mean, here it is people. It ain't no back room conspiracy theory anymore folks- America is a ------ oligarchy.

I was just getting ready to say the same thing. I had a feeling Trump's sudden attack of altruism had something to do with losing two Republican Senate seats from Georgia. They've been telling him for weeks to shut the F up.

It might be too little too late. Trump already gave Stacey Abrams a big head start.

@#25 ... I've lost track... what's he got left? ...

Less than he had remaining a week ago, which was not a lot.

The Trump campaign's last ditch hope looks to me to be Pennsylvania where they hope to get their case in front of SCOTUS.

Here's a good overview of their case...

Misleading Claims In A Trump Campaign Lawsuit
www.newsy.com

...The Trump campaign suit in Pennsylvania focuses on mail-in and absentee ballots. One central issue is ballot curing.

"We're talking about the ability of a voter to fix their mistakes," said Interim Executive Director of Common Cause Philadelphia, Suzanne Almeida. Common Cause has partnered with several other groups including the NAACP and League of Women Voters to challenge the suit. "Some counties were proactively reaching out to voters," she explained, "Some counties didn't."

There were two common mistakes. One, an error on the outer envelope - a missing signature, misspelling, or incorrect address. And two, a missing secrecy sleeve (an envelope containing your ballot placed inside the envelope used for mailing). Any of these mistakes disqualifies a ballot.

The lawsuit claims Democrat-heavy counties were more proactive in allowing voters to cure ballots, giving the Biden campaign an unfair advantage.

In a press conference on Thursday, Trump campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani said, "If you made a mistake in that ballot and you lived in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, you were allowed to fix that mistake. But if you lived in what would be considered the Republican or Trump parts of the state, you were given no such right."

But we found that wasn't exactly the case. We reached out to every county's elections office - and have so far confirmed only two counties - Somerset and Mercer - did not allow any kind of ballot curing. ...

... and the article goes on to document what Newsy found out as they talked to the official in each of the counties.

For example...

...The lawsuit states that "Lancaster, York, Westmoreland and Berks counties... did not contact voters who submitted defective ballots or give them an opportunity to cure." But a Berks County spokesperson said voters who suspected a mistake "were given the opportunity to come into the office to 'cure' their ballot."

And a representative from York County said in some cases they passed voter names onto poll watchers to reach out.

A spokesperson from Fayette County - home to one of the two voters at the center of the complaint - wrote, "The county sent letters to those constituents whose mail-in or absentee ballots were identified as having one or more issues with their voter declaration on the external mailing envelope."

Westmoreland elections officials did not respond to repeated inquiries and the Lancaster elections director said: "No comment due to it being the subject of pending litigation."

Commissioner Joe Kantz of Republican-leaning Snyder County said they let voters fix missing signatures. "We would do our best to contact that voter - let them know that it was not signed. If they wanted to come into the courthouse and sign it, they could do that, make sure their vote counted."...

Based upon the most recent court rejection, the Trump campaign looks to be trying to take their case to SCOTUS now...

If a lawyerly miracle happened in PA and Trump got those EVs, Biden would win with 286.

Trump's keeping this BS going to line his 'campaign' coffers. As we know, his 'legal' fundraising is a grift.
