"What will Donald Trump be remembered for? Anyone?"

For playing lots of rounds of golf while thousands of Americans were dying. And for doing absolutely nothing to try and reduce the death toll. Yes, he will be remembered in the history books as the worst President in the history of the United States. A truly despicable human being.

#6 | Posted by danni at 2020-11-25 10:43 AM | Reply

He will be remembered as the President who ruined the middle class one industry at a time then had loan companies call and email you offering predatory loans.
He will be remembered as the President who filed so many useless lawsuits it made your head hurt. One that hardly knew anyone yet everyone around him wrote blistering tell all books exposing him.

56 days and 32 minutes to go.

@ ~2,000 deaths a day

2000 x 56 = 112000

260000 + 112000 = 372000

3720000 American deaths before we can get control and begin to turn this around? Why do we have to wait?

Wear a mask, save lives now.

Building the best economy ever.
Lowest unemployment rate ever.

U.S. Unemployment Rate Falls to 50-Year Low
October 4, 2019

The household survey finds that the unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent in September, marking the 19th consecutive month at or below 4 percent unemployment. The unemployment rate is the lowest it has been since May 1969"over 50 years ago. All Americans are benefiting from the labor market's continued improvement. The lowest unemployment rates on record were matched or set in September 2019 for African Americans, Hispanics, and people with disabilities.

You had to work two jobs to make up for the income inequality.... Great, and look at those wonderful McJobs now.

And Obama had the greatest economic recovery ever and Trump rode it full speed off of a cliff.

But guess what, none of those stats matter for legacy, Trump will be known as the most negligent holder of public office in the history of North America.

Barrack Obama created more jobs in the last three years of his Presidency than Trump did in his first three years. Barrack Obama inherited a collapsed economy from George W. Bush, Donald Trump inherited a rapidly growing economy from Barrack Obama and is now going to deliver a collapsed economy to Joe Biden. He is also going to deliver a pandemic which he has done absolutely nothing to end to Joe Biden.

Good God.

Saying it's a "benefit" by adding back ten million jobs after losing twenty million jobs takes some serious Republican Math.

We can probably cut hospitalizations to manageable levels if we just ask 3 simple questions and triage based on them:

Is COVID real and Deadly?
Do you always wear a mask in public?
Did you vote for Donald Trump in 2020?

It is of course tongue in cheek but I half seriously think we let Darwin just go to work on these people.

In your #3 comment, you asserted that it was the lowest unemployment ever.

Now you seem to be walking back your assertion to say only in the last 50 years.

Phester, why is it the last two GOP presidents came into office riding a wave built during the previous administration only to leave with things in free fall?

The economy was garbage under Reagan and Bush, Clinton comes in and voila the economy turns hot and we are paying down debt. In comes Bush II - 9/11 followed by total economic collapse in 2008. In comes Obama who turns it around and set an unmatched period of growth into motion. In comes trump and again the economy is garbage and we have a mostly avoidable health crisis killing hundreds of thousands of people. We have not hit bottom from this abysmal Trump and GOP mess. With the Senate probably in GOP hands we may not hit bottom for quite some time.

#23 | Posted by GalaxiePete at 2020-11-25 01:00 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Republicans pointing to the pre covid economy as proof of trumps success are like morons who think that maxing out their credit card means they're rich.

Trump just stole money from your kids and left them with a giant debt to repay, and handed that money out to rich people to make trump's economy appear wealthier than it was.

Anyone can spend on credit and live large. That doesn't mean your are economically successful or your actions are financially smart.

I know basic financial concepts probably sound like wild concepts to someone in the cult of stupidity.

When someone borrows money to buy a rich guy car, does that mean they're rich?

Trump borrowed money (from you and your kids) to make it look like a successful economy. When the bill comes due, you'll blame the dems instead of your cult leader who maxed out the credit card.

Being Conservative means staying OUT of debt.

That's why our national debt and annual deficits shot up like a Falcon 9 rocket under W and Trump? Beginning with Reagan, who gave us our first trillion dollar national debt?

Hell, the Trump/GOP deficits went back over a trillion dollars before the pandemic in a 'roaring economy!' This after Obama got them back down to less than half that amount from the $1.4 trillion annual deficits he inherited.

When 'conservatives' run the government, we rack up enormous debt.

Facts are not on your side, Phester

If going into debt doesn't make one rich, then going into national debt to supercharge the economy doesn't mean the economy is strong. It means your kids will be paying the cost for trump's temporary illusion of prosperity.
