Why did it fall to a little-known figure like [Aaron] Van Langevelde to buffer the country from an unprecedented layer of turmoil? Why did the battleground state that dealt Trump his most decisive defeat - by a wide margin - become the epicenter of America's electoral crisis? Trump failed to win Michigan. But he succeeded in convincing America that a loss, no matter how conclusive, may never again be conclusive enough.

"A lot of our leaders in this country ought to be ashamed of themselves," said [Chris] Thomas, the nonpartisan elections guru who kept Michigan's governing class guessing his political affiliation for the past several decades. "They have propagated this narrative of massive fraud, and it's simply not true. They've leapt from some human error to massive fraud. It's like a leap to Never Neverland. And people are believing them."

He exhaled with a disgusted groan.

"The people of this country really need to wake up and start thinking for themselves and looking for facts"not conspiracy theories being peddled by people who are supposed to be responsible leaders, but facts," Thomas said. "If they're not going to be responsible leaders, people need to seek out the truth for themselves. If people don't do that"if they no longer trust how we elect the president of the United States"we're going to be in real trouble."

Over this upcoming long weekend, please take the time to read this lengthy but riveting article for it simply lays out facts as they exist. After reading this, none of us should have any argument over the simple facts that nothing happened during Michigan's election tallying that wasn't supposed to happen, and that Republicans intentionally from second one have been trying to illegally throw the presidential election to Trump because they were pressured to.

This is a great article. I am not surprised by the actions of the President of state GOP leaders. The GOP here has been just as disgusting in their tactics as in other states over the years. The Dom sipping crew at Trump's DC Hotel are a disgusting group of moral-less individuals.

Van Langevelde either has morals and a brass set to stand up to the GOP heads or simply feared possible repercussions for not following the law - he is a lawyer after all.

I think the RNC made a lot of promises to dangerous people that Trump was supposed to fulfill during his second term.

We all watched Trump fight his loss to the point of absurdity. One could easily get the impression that Trump and the RNC had more to fear than their loss of credibility.

They might want to consider a food tester in the coming months.

They had/have nothing to lose and everything to gain. As in every dollar some sucker on the Right is willing to give them. And they know there's only a small window to really cash in before the golden goose is fully cooked.

It's as simple as that. The "Stop the Steal" money grifting events are not just for Trump campaign debt but for the RNC as well. People are making money hand over fist knowing once January 20th roles around, the suckers will more than likely put their pocket books away until 2022. Or at least that's when Trump can cash in on some "media empire" that he'll do nothing with save for lending his five letter last name to. Which is basically all he did as POTUS, an outcome that is the Trump Administration, seemingly in name only.

Something normal people need to understand - LARGE numbers of people have bought into this fraud claim. They truly believe it. Even larger numbers are now not sure. To all these people this isn't absurd but a fight against corruption.

I'm sure that's true.

Trump uses the art of propaganda as it was practiced by Joseph Goebbles himself:

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

Trump does it practically every time he opens his mouth ~ because he knows it works.

Trump's not interested in their chump change nor is campaign debt tops on his list.

"Stop the Steal" is just part of the facade to keep the myth alive.

In Trump's eye, he sees 80 Million bleating sheeple still out there waiting to be shorn.

He'll work that angle to the bitter end.
