North Korea Executed Coronavirus Rule-Breaker, Says South Korean Intelligence
North Korea is taking increasingly harsh measures to stop the coronavirus from entering the country, including executing an official in August who violated anti-virus rules, South Korean intelligence officials told lawmakers on Friday.

It's almost certainly worth it to kill one rule-breaker, if it gets others to follow the rules.
He needn't even be a rulebreaker. Just to the others this is what happens if you break the rules.

Gee, the North Koreans have a leader who mandates exercising extreme prudence. I wonder what that is like. I bet he would get more than 270 electoral votes if he ran in the next Presidential election, though the part about executing currency traders might worry a few on Wall Street. They've stopped importing food out of the fear that the virus may come with it.
So they'll starve to death. But no one will be dying from COVID.
But that's a good thing. Preventing COVID deaths is the new hotness? Deaths from other causes? They're still OK. The price to pay in order to prevent people from dying of COVID.

Trump's beautiful friend has it figured out. Unfortunately, Trump is on the other side of this conundrum, and if he lived in North Korea, would probably have to be executed by his pen pal for violating the rules.
