Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, November 29, 2020

President Donald Trump engaged in what could best be described as a lengthy airing of grievances on Sunday morning, venting to sycophantic Fox News host Maria Bartiromo during his first post-election television interview while baselessly suggesting his own FBI and Department of Justice were "involved" with a "rigged" election against him.

Admin's note: Participants in this discussion must follow the site's moderation policy. Profanity will be filtered. Abusive conduct is not allowed.

"Bartiromo opened the interview with a question about election fraud, telling Trump, "The facts are on your side." Trump responded, falsey saying, "This election was a fraud; it was a rigged election." The Fox anchor then reflected the president's anger, saying, "This is disgusting and we cannot allow America's election to be corrupted."

In addition to Trump's unwillingness to acknowledge Joe Biden won the election, Bartiromo's unchallenged acceptance of Trump's false narrative also presents a danger to American democracy, said CNN's Senior Media Reporter Oliver Darcy on "Reliable Sources."

"News organizations " and I think Fox claims to be one " have a responsibility," Darcy said. "The president of the United States is trying to overturn the election. ...Frankly, there is not much daylight between Maria and [Infowars conspiracy theorist] Alex Jones."

Bartiromo's smarter than this. Well, she's lost all credibility in the business world from anyone with an IQ over 85.

@#2 ... Bartiromo's smarter than this. Well, she's lost all credibility in the business world ...

I learned from Ms Bartiromo's commentary when she was on CNBC. Her commentary was informative and insightful.

Then Fox started up Fox Business to compete with CNBC, and Ms Bartiromo moved over to Fox.

In her early days at Fox, it seemed as if she were straining to present The Gospel According To Fox.. As time progressed, however, she got better at it.

Now the lies seem to come to her as easily and smoothly as they do to the prime time Fox News commentators.

It is sad to see how far and hard she has fallen.

"This is total fraud. And how the FBI, and Department of Justice " I don't know, maybe they're involved " but how people are allowed to get away with this is stuff is unbelievable. This election was rigged. This election was a total fraud," Trump said.

He later said, "All I can say, is: With all of the fraud that's taken place, nobody has come to me and said, Oh, the FBI has nabbed the people that are doing this scheme.'"

The Department of Justice, he said, in response to a leading question by Bartiromo, is "missing in action."

Paranoid narcissists are the worst kind.

Psycho. I think Trump could probably meet the criteria for involuntary commitment in a mental institution. The only reasonable alternative is prison.

Christopher Krebs, a Republican who Trump just fired as head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, was on 60 Minutes tonight. As he explained, it would have been impossible for votes to be changed from one candidate to another. And example he gave was Georgia; machines initially counted the votes, and then there was a hand recount, which obviously no one could tamper with, and with the same results.

Trump's a loser who's full of s***.

Ousted Trump cybersecurity director debunks 2020 election rumors

Scott Pelley: So back in 2017, as you're looking ahead to the election in 2018 and then ultimately the election in 2020, you have a to-do list. And the to-do list includes what?

Chris Krebs: Paper ballots. Paper ballots give you the ability to audit, to go back and check the tape and make sure that you got the count right. And that's really one of the keys to success for a secure 2020 election. 95% of the ballots cast in the 2020 election had a paper record associated with it. Compared to 2016, about 82%.

Scott Pelley: And with a paper record, you can go back and verify what the machine is saying by physically counting the paper?

Chris Krebs: That gives you the ability to prove that there was no malicious algorithm or hacked software that adjusted the tally of the vote, and just look at what happened in Georgia. Georgia has machines that tabulate the vote. They then held a hand recount and the outcome was consistent with the machine vote.

I know in the past we've seen stories of machines switching votes. I don't recall seeing those stories this year. Maybe because so many people voted by mail. Hopefully, this starts a trend, and all elections become vote by mail.

"60 Minutes never asked us for a comment about their ridiculous, one sided story on election security, which is an international joke... probably our least secure EVER!" - Donald Trump

Hmm, who's been in charge the last four years when American election security allegedly became the least secure ever and an international joke?

Seriously, my mother has mid-stage Alzheimers, which causes her to have these wild paranoid, very detailed, fantasies that she swears up and down are real. I think Dotard has Amzheimers, his wild paranoid fantasies are nowhere as realistic as my mother's.

If Democrats rigged the election shouldn't that have retaken the Senate?

What trump is doing is why in all religions lying is forbidden 99% of the time.

"If Democrats rigged the election shouldn't that have retaken the Senate?"

Not if they didn't want to have to make excuses for why the weren't going to move ahead on much of the left's favorite issues.
