As the Trump White House reaches its final days, an eerie quiet has descended on the premises as attempts to challenge the election result founder in the courts ... "This election was rigged and we can't let that happen," the president said on the phone.

It hasn't been decided! In his mind. It will never be decided...in his mind. That's his curse. He built that. Poor fool. I almost feel sorry for him. Then I remember the hundreds of thousands of Americans who have suffered and died by disastrously incompetent presidency on his watch due to his criminal negligence. Then I think. He has a long way to go and a lot more suffering to go before he finds his redemption in this world.

Trump has been able to scam and lie his way out of every problem he's ever faced.

When he is confronted by a problem that isnt affected by his lies, like a pandemic or election count, he has no other strategies to pursue.

I make jokes about this stuff all the time, primarily to attempt to keep my sanity. But it's really not funny at all. Trump's inability or unwillingness to acknowledge the truth is tragic for our country, our democracy, our two-party system, our national mood, and our international standing. There's no way you'll convince me otherwise.

Same here. Until I started having a deep think on the state of our country just over a year ago, and I became upset. I almost signed a contract abroad, then thought "maybe." Now here I am waiting for my passport from the Consulate. 14 days...

Back in reality, Carter became probably our most respected ex-President and he was only defeated because Ronnie Reagan committed treason and asked the Iranians to hold our American hostages until after the election. That did destroy the Carter Presidency but it also started the Reagan Presidency on a shameful record. Ronald Reagan was a disgusting human being and deserves the disdain people who actually love America have for him today. Pure scum. No redeeming value, when you bargain with our enemies to hold our people hostage longer there is no return to being considered as a decent human being.

I agree. But still, better late than never. I can't help but believe we're only going to move forward as a nation when the vast chunk of the populace that voted for Trump and/or is a registered Republican pushes back on this madness. Ultimately I want to see progress on a laundry list of issues. That's not possible if nearly half the voters consider the election a fraud and Biden an illegitimate president.
