Georgia Senate Runoff Poll Shows Tight Races

An A-rated poll commissioned by an Georgia's 11Alive on the state's two Senate runoff shows both Democratic candidates moving up in the polls. Democrat Raphael Warnock has a 7-point advantage over GOP incumbent Kelly Loeffler. Perdue and Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff were virtually tied with Ossoff having a 2-point lead in the poll over incumbent David Perdue.

Yup.

The main problem is participation, i.e., a willingness of the people being called to participate in the poll.

This unwillingness is especially true for those Republicans who lean toward the Trump wing of the party. They seem to have a significant distrust of anything institutional. So that unwillingness to participate has shown up as an under-representation of Trump voters. It is not because they are embarrassed to say they are voting for Trump, but that they just don't want to be bothered with answering a pollster's questions.

I don't think they're embarrassed at all. I think some of them are making a coordinated effort to lie to pollsters to skew the confidence of Democrat voters.

Considering the ability of Republicans to lie to pollsters, as proven by the recent Presidential race, the Democrat with a 7 point lead may have a chance if Dems don't get apathetic.

The Democrat with only a 2 point lead is most likely a loser. I hope I'm wrong, but polling has been consistently inconsistent now for several cycles.

Don't worry. Trump will show up this weekend and say something that will rally enough voters to vote for Rev. Warnock just out of spite. And his coat tails will bring Ossoff along to victory...

The Democratic candidates need to inform the voters of the tax increase everyone earning less than $70,000 which is going to happen on Jan. 1 while the tax cut for the rich remains permanently. Vote your pocketbook, Republicans are stealing from you to allow the rich to own more and more of the wealth of America. Reason? Because Republican politicians are employees of the 1%, that's who they actually represent. They don't give a crap about the millions of fools that vote for them.

Gov. Brian Kemp has again called for a "signature audit" of election results, citing a widely-disputed video presented Thursday by President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his legal team.

Here's the response from Ryan Germany, general counsel for Georgia's Secretary of State:

The department's 23 armed, state-certified law enforcement officer investigators don't conduct investigations based on feelings, he said.

"These are law enforcement investigators and we want to make sure if we're opening them, that we're doing it based off of allegations that are actually investigable and not off of feelings that I don't like the result of this election,'" he said.
