Democrats in Congress are still intent on investigating President Donald Trump and his administration after he leaves office, including a pursuit of Trump's tax returns, a drive that threatens to complicate President-elect Joe Biden's pledges of bipartisan unity since he won the election.

Given the ----- that Trump will make of himself after he leaves office, I would suspect that many (most?) repubs are secretly hoping that the dems, as well as NYC and NY State, are successful in prosecuting his butt. Successfull prosecutions won't deter his most ardent supporters, but many Trump voters will be so turned off by the revelations that they will want nothing more to do with him or his progeny.

A good post. Trump's fanatics will never increase, only dwindle. And a lot of mean and nasty Republicans want their shot in 2024 at the expense of Trump. Who hasn't a true friend in the world, if he hasn't yet noticed.

@2 ... Given the ----- that Trump will make of himself after he leaves office ...

My guess would be that soon after Jan 20, the then fmr Pres Trump announces he is running in 2024.

That will give him four years of rallies and tweets to further divide the Country.

He'll have to squeeze those rallies between court appearances.

My guess, is that within 3 weeks of Trump no longer having
Presidential Privilege, he will be indicted on a number of
counts by the state of NY...

"My guess would be that soon after Jan 20, the then fmr Pres Trump announces he is running in 2024."

My guess would be he will announce he is running ON Jan 20th. WHILE Biden is being sworn in. Since he won't be attending the inauguration

Trump will instead be having a maggot filled covid spreading Fuster Cluck.

Like a spoiled rotten brat with a heart two sizes too small seeking revenge because someone else got his favorite Christmas Toy.

After he steals Christmas from all The Who's in Whoville that is.

Investigating illegal acts should not harm bi-partisan unless one of the parties is okay with crimes being committed by their leader. They shouldn't.

unless one of the parties is okay with crimes being committed by their leader.

They have demonstrated for the last 4 years that they are OK with that.

There has been a steady stream of such revelations since 2016. By the fact that Donald got more than 74 million vote, I'd say it didn't and won't deter those who voted for him in the least.

Trump may not be prosecuted, but he sure as hell is going to have an unpleasant time of it over the next several years. He's got a big Guilty sign around his neck.

New health care in 2 weeks..... 5 months ago.

Cons gotta con.

The best thing the Dems can do for the GOP is remove the orange ----------- and his grifting family from polite society, straight into the greybar hotel. As long as Dotard is free, he will continue to hold the party hostage as he maintains control over the racist Trumpublican base. As long as he continues to publically ponder a 2024 run he keeps the other potential candidates locked from raising money and setting up their campaign organizations.

I see the Democrats are caving again. If they cave with Donald, I won't vote for them again. The Republicans don't play by nice rules and voting for nice Democrats isn't going to get the job done. If they can't or won't do their jobs I will vote for a Socialist. F their feelings!

Good luck finding one. Even those calling themselves Socialists, aren't.

And really...isn't it up to the local prosecutors, and not, say, the DNC?

And Biden's DOJ.

But like Iloveyou said, Biden will likely fold and give the House and a stronger Senate to the GOP in 2022. Face it,the Chuck and Nancy show should have been cancelled after the election

And it was the best plan ever! Everything was gonna be free too! So sad. Too bad. You made Humpy mad. So now get nothing.

It's nothing but lawsuits all the way down now.

I don't think he plans on hiding. He now has over $200 million Maga dollars to harass Biden and nip at his heels for 4 years with.

Democrats would probably stop investigating Trumpy if he would just go away and stop spreading all his lies and hatefulness across the land.

Trump's TREASON, SEDITION and GENOCIDE are FACTS! A good time for Federal executions to be re-instated. He must pay!

Does that mean Kathy Griffin can be released from Gitmo now?:]

Not only would she have been right to make that effigy as a threat, which I realize she did not, but she should have carved it out as a jack-o-lantern and posted it as a tutorial on YouTube.

Maybe twitter toiletry objects such as Trumps Adderall tray painted a glittery orange for maximum tweetage! Orange Trump steaks made from clones in free range labs, woven golden codpieces, border wall stud finders, Trumpanzee fear gas made from the famous moran amygdala and tastes remarkably like spiced pumpkin latte, the '45 medicare plan' by Don Jr. that includes free bullets, vials of Karen tears (personal lubricant), a police baton that doubles as a wife beater, microwave microphones, lawn gnome leaf blowers, Palin's Hefty Garment Bags, whatever they could use to spice up this otherwise boring unwilling transition. Tramp can't exploit everything all of the time, there's plenty of space for thoughtful input like a head on a platter. Children in cages, however..

And here is absolute proof of Liberal hypocrisy. Trump starts all kinds of stupid investigations and lawsuits, and according to Dems he has no proof. Dems then turn around and say they will willingly spend taxpayer money on doing the EXACT SAME THING to Trump. The Dark Side really is a perfect metaphor for Libs these days, you let hate completely control your lives.

If trump has any legitimate lawsuits or investigations to pursue, he's welcome to them.

Problem for you is, he doesn't.

You are whining that trump's imaginary fantasies aren't treated the same as his actual scandals and crimes.

I'm sure you're really so concerned about taxpayer money. Tell me, how much is too much taxpayer money to pay to know whether or not the president is putin's puppet? Is that knowledge not worth trillions of dollars?
