In the aftermath of the attempted coup by Trump supporters at the Capitol on Wednesday that left one person dead, conspiracy theorists and right-wing figures have tried to shift the blame to their favorite target: antifa.

"Lin Wood, a pro-Trump attorney who subscribes to the QAnon mass delusion, sent several viral tweets that falsely claimed that members of antifa were inside the Capitol.

One tweet included a photo of men he claimed were members of antifa; in fact, one of the men is a frequent MAGA world protester who goes by "Q Shaman," and another is Matthew Heimbach, a well-known white nationalist."

The guy in the horns and fur on the left has already been identified by many as Jake Angeli, a well-known QAnon promoter known as the "Q Shaman." On the right, we have Matthew Heimbach, a longtime neo-Nazi and figure in the white nationalist movement... but sure, antifa

I saw this on FB.

When I asked for a source of the info the poster, as usual, refused to give one and just repeated that it was clearly antifa trying to make Trumpers look bad.

Now I know. It was from Trump's sycophants. (as expected)

You knew it was going to happen.

No different that people on the left claiming that Portland was the result of right-wingers dressed out as anarchists.

Leaked Documents Show Police Knew Far-Right Extremists Were the Real Threat at Protests, Not "Antifa"
theintercept.com

...As protests against police violence spread to every state in the U.S. and dramatic images flooded in from cities across the country, President Donald Trump and his attorney general spun an ominous story of opportunistic leftists exploiting a national trauma to sow chaos and disorder. They were the anti-fascists known as "antifa", and according to the administration they were domestic terrorists who would be policed accordingly.

But while the White House beat the drum for a crackdown on a leaderless movement on the left, law enforcement offices across the country were sharing detailed reports of far-right extremists seeking to attack the protesters and police during the country's historic demonstrations, a trove of newly leaked documents reveals....

And We are just a "liberal snowflakes".

Makes one wonder why the professionals at metro police didn't know.

Or did they?

Sarah Palin Baselessly Accuses Antifa of False Flag Op in Capitol Mob Assault, Citing Some Pictures People Sent Her

Former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin leapt right into the conspiracy theory slipstream on Fox News, claiming that she suspected the rioting, looting, and gunshots unleashed inside the Capitol by pro-Trump supporters was actually a false flag operation by the conservative boogeyman-of-the-moment: Antifa.

Her proof for such an explosive charge? Some "pictures" people sent her that she said showed the "same characters" were allegedly at both the MAGA Capitol mob siege supporting President Donald Trump's plot to overturn the democratic 2020 election and Democratic-led protests over the summer.

NOT all Trumpers appreciate the credit being given to Antifa....

from TheDonald where the pro-Trumpers planned the REVOLUTION... and are now wallowing in the despair of Dear Leader's betrayal.

They also feel betrayed by those blaming Antifa.....

"But as some Trump allies in Congress, like Rep. Matt Gaetz, began to lie that the rioters were orchestrated by left-wing antifa activists, TheDonald's users spoke up to defend themselves.

"It's sickening seeing people give Antifa the glory of fed-up Americans," one popular post wrote.

Another user called on everyone to "flame" those who claimed the insurrection was carried out by left-wing protesters:

"WE took the capitol building."

We're 8 days in, and the left is the new right, and the right is the new left.

Here we go with the blame game and completely ignoring the problem. Who cares who did it? Violence was done, property was destroyed, and a life was taken, and it was done on government grounds. The focus should be on how to stop this from happening. But since Dems supported BLM and Reps supported this, both sides won't do a damn thing. It's going to keep happening because both sides justify it based off of their sides' ideologies and anything done in the name of their ideologies is OK.

JFC, context and nuance are four letter words to some people apparently.

"what's going to happen after this is: escalations of far-right violence that will be hand-waved if not abetted by sympathetic police, and rationalized away by rank-and-file conservatives yelling "what about BLM" and "antifa false-flag," bc their team cannot possibly be the Bad Guys

Our very own QAnonBomber was doing this yesterday by trying to change the topic to Portland and Antifa.

These people are sick in the head.

You want to get depressed? Go to the TheDonald website and read for a few minutes. It is terrifying how deluded a large section of our population is.

some highlights
1. -------- recent "concession" video is a deep fake
2. Viking guy at insurrection is both Qanon and Antifa
3. Ongoing calls for MORE violence
4. Advice on not paying taxes
5. Supreme Court is in on the Steal (despite ------- appointing 1/3 of the court)
6. Wednesday's violence was both Antifa AND from -------- supporters
7. Lots of discussion on crisis actors and LARPers
8. Lots of confusion/frustration on why they cant foment insurrection on the interweb-that is sort of amusing

It's not hard to see where the OP comes from. Over 74 million voted for Trump. Less than 1% of that have ever attended a Trump rally. Less than a tenth of a percent have ever, or will ever, attend a pro-Trump protest. Of that tiny group, a very, very tiny subsection are the wackos on the front skirmishing for cops. They have no ------- idea what nuts have made themselves their front line. Of course they're going to want to believe it's external sabotage and they don't have ------ allies. Also applies to left wing protests, there's some real wackadoos there, just less dangerous than right wing ones.

A FEW Trumpers

i've talked to so many who are SICK over this

#25 | Posted by drivelikejehu at 2021-01-09 01:02 AM | Reply

What, that it failed?

That Antifa did it?

Or that they aren't getting credit for it because some people are blaming Antifa?

All 3, I bet.

Or maybe they are sick enough over it to realize that Trump's been lying to them all along, and sold them out the first chance he got... naw.
