Facebook will ban President Donald Trump's account from posting for at least the remainder of his term in office and perhaps "indefinitely," CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post on Thursday.

Too late. The damage is done. The capitol has been ransacked by terrorists. Inspired and possibly even funded by the White House itself. And someone from security let them inside the perimeter.

No one could have predicted this!!!

(Hint: almost everyone did)

OK. Now, about those Russian troll bots, far-right hate groups, Proud Boys, et alia--what is to be done about all of those? It doesn't take long to find those accounts. Maybe someone at FB should hire a sixth grader from Ravenswood Middle School to help in the search. While your at it, get rid of the ads for Russian teens, ----- pills, Confederate flags, MAGA hats and Trump t-shirts...

Yeah now that Zuckerberg can't help trump anymore, NOW he bans him to try and save face.

Zuck is a trumper and always has been. He helped create this nightmare so he could get richer.

I bet the WH has also been ransacked by Trumptidumped.

America should ban Trump for the rest of his term.

There's talk of invoking the 25th, but I doubt it will come to fruition.

The Republicans are too much of a coward. They'd rather watch the Country go down than grow a backbone and abide by their oath to the Constitution.

Facebook is actually really stupid. OK they make a lot of money off of political ads. But that has never been the future for them. What is their future is people using facebook to connect with friend and family and also for business to sell stuff and promote their business. They seriously need to promote this message and say facebook is not for political things. Facebook is already very effective keeping porn off their platforms.

Explain yourself.
Facebook is free to run their business as they see fit, so long as they do not violate any laws.

Why is freedom a problem?

Are you saying that you don't think businesses should have the right to refuse service to disruptive customers? You think I should be able to go into a restaurant, insult the staff, take a dump on the floor and still expect to get service?

As usual, Republicans don't care unless it happens to them. The Republican members of Congress who have now "changed their minds" only did so because they were attacked yesterday. Republican sociopathy rule #1: it's only a bad thing when it happens to you, personally.

So? Newspapers, radio, and TV have all decided what people are allowed to say and it's been that way forever.

User provided content platforms like social media have been hiding from their responsibility of taking action to ensure things don't get out of hand on their sites.

If a site populated by the dumbest most gullible americans thinks I'm retarded, that's a compliment.

If you agree with them, that's an insult. To yourself.

Yeah because newspapers radio and tv were run by professionals with careers at stake, who fact check things, and whose credibility is on the line.

You morons think those news sources are no more trustworthy than a youtube video from a russian troll that claims to show election fraud when none occurred.

With radio and TV, it is more the FCC than the business itself.

And the FCC is driven by the more conservative mid-west and right-wing Christians in what they allow.
