In blow to Trump, golf's PGA strips major championship from Trump-owned course As he faces a lonely end to his presidency, Donald Trump learned Sunday evening that, in the wake of last week's riot at the U.S. Capitol, he has lost one of the relationships he values most: his partnership with the Professional Golfers' Association.

"The PGA of America Board of Directors voted tonight to exercise the right to terminate the agreement to play the 2022 PGA Championship at Trump Bedminster," said Jim Richerson, PGA of America president, in a statement.

Holding the tournament at Trump Bedminster, Richerson said, would be "detrimental" to the PGA of America's brand and put the organization's ability to function "at risk."

In 2016, the PGA Tour, golf's professional circuit, prematurely ended an agreement to stage a World Golf Championship event at Trump National Doral resort in Miami, Fla., after then-candidate Trump made disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants on the campaign trail, and moved the event to Mexico City."

Hitting him where it hurts.

Maybe the WMSF (World Minigolf Sports Federation) will step up and lend some zip to those tired properties.

Almost as good as removing him.

They should take the golf course away from him also. Oh, pardon me, Putin will be doing that when trump doesn't pay him back...

Well OK then.

This might not seem like a big deal to most people who don't follow golf enough or play golf at places like that....but this is a big deal.

This will cost Trump.

Not Putin.

As I've said before, all of his assets are heavily leveraged. I expect they'll be in a court ordered receivership and sold off after the investigations of Trump and Trump Org. are completed and it comes time for Trump to pony up.

Whelp. In his dangerously greedy, narrow minded quest to "establish his brand," Trump has killed it.

He was bankrupt before and he's definitely going to be bankrupt now.

Can't happen fast enough.

Sadly, we'll have to listen to his cultists whine about how he's being targeted by the Deep State as retribution for loving America so much.

There is a growing list of companies that have pulled their donations from any member of the GOPCoup.

Good for them.

I'm sure Ted Cruz will be crying about how he cannot fundraise because of the deep state on Fox Baloney tonight.

The PGA's decision is great. First, it shuts up a guy who is so mentally ill that he is probably more upset about this turn of events than he is about 350k+ Americans dying during his administration. Second, Trump is a well-known and inveterate cheater on the course, and this is further reinforcement that most golfers do not want to be around cheaters...

Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley are not the people we should be worried about in 2024. They've systematically blown their cover this past week.

It's the unknown seditionists who are, right now, priming their campaigns for a strike against Biden in 2024. If there's one thing we've learned from this failed coup, especially the way it divided the Senate, there's no shortage of contenders who think they can out-Trump the Donald in the race for America's first dictator.

It doesn't help that the RNC is on board for their very own authoritarian regime.

This news will probably inspire Trumpers to attack the next PGA tournament.

Violence is the only language conservatives know.

Then they aren't conservative.

They are insurrectionists.

This will sting him more than anything else (even Bill Bellichick refusing his award)............which given the circumstances going on in our country, tells you all you need to know.

He should be forced to play golf alone!

"He should be forced to play golf alone!"

Somebody out there in the wilderness still loves Donald.

But it won't be Lindsay Graham. He switched sides . . . again!
