That's been my view, more or less.

I've often said that the Deep State are those who put their loyalty to their Oath to uphold the Constitution above any loyalty the have towards the person in the Oval Office.

That is why Trump supporters rail against the Deep State, they are railing against those who do not place Pres Trump over and above the Constitution.

Now those who sought to bring down rule of law according to the Constitution will meet the consequences for their actions, meted out by those in the Deep State, i.e., those who uphold the Constitution.

And the sad thing...if you want to look at it this way...is Trump doesn't give a ---- about the constitution. He doesn't give a ---- about about those who do or do not place him above the constitution.

He only cares about Trump.

But he tells the desperate and vulnerable what they want to hear, along with Faux News.

When you're constantly told that you're the epitome of America, that you're the heart of America, the core of the American people yet are constantly left in the dust by those cynically playing you, you believe the good and get really really angry with the bad.

The last thing that will happen is real introspection and objective thought about the real issues they're facing and how they got there because that means accepting a significant portion of the blame for their life and societal standing.

Poor uneducated white Americans tend toward fascism. Which is why they support Trump in such overwhelming numbers. They do not care about the law or the Constitution. They just want power and control.

The same can be said of the vast majority of Republican politicians.

In the bizarro world we find ourselves in, all but a couple of them have never uttered a word about Trump's egregious behavior and actions throughout his term or more recently his laissez faire attitude about a pandemic that's killing thousands of Americans a day.

Now they call for 'unity' during the impeachment debate over his fomenting sedition rather than standing up for democracy and the Constitution they swore to uphold, protect, and defend?

Traitors, the lot of them.

Spot on! But, too late. Jan 6, with its tepid police response and probable assistance from some Capitol police, Trump ordering the Naitonal Guard to stay away, and Trump's angry insistence that the "speech was appropriate" are only increasing their appetite for mindless violence, kidnapping, and murder. They have awoken Leviathan to be sure"the Fedderal Government is out for them with all of its fury, and it will only end in mass arrests and killings of traitors who storm capitol buildings over the next six days.

This Virulent, lethal Trump Virus has infected so many gullible people that it will need to be stamped out harshly. The ONLY good thing to come of it is that Trump, that Northwest GA loony-tune congresswoman, Boebert, Cruz, and Hawley have their brand damaged for good now.
