Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, January 14, 2021

Philip Rucker, Josh Dawsey, and Ashley Parker: He is angry that his allies have not mounted a more forceful defense of his incitement of the mob that stormed the Capitol last week, advisers and associates said. Trump has instructed aides not to pay Giuliani's legal fees, two officials said, and has demanded that he personally approve any reimbursements for the expenses Giuliani incurred while traveling on the president's behalf to challenge election results in key states.

Trump has privately expressed concern with some of Giuliani's moves and did not appreciate a demand from Giuliani for $20,000 a day in fees for his work attempting to overturn the election.

As he watched impeachment quickly gain steam, Trump was upset generally that virtually nobody is defending him " including press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, economic adviser Larry Kudlow, national security adviser Robert C. O'Brien and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, according to a senior administration official.

"The president is pretty wound up," said the senior administration official, who, like some others interviewed, spoke on the condition of anonymity to be candid. "No one is out there."

Obligatory (ie. Rudy):

It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown - Fire

You're gonna burn...

www.youtube.com

I am the God of Hell fire and I bring you

Fire, I'll take you to burn
Fire, I'll take you to learn
I'll see you burn

You fought hard and you saved and earned
But all of it's going to burn
And your mind, your tiny mind
You know you've really been so blind
Now 's your time burn your mind
You're falling far too far behind

Oh no
Oh no
Oh no
You're gonna burn

Fire, to destroy all you've done
Fire, to end all you've become
I'll feel you burn

@#3

Whoa, that is, frankly, too on the mark.

Scary.

A song from the 60's seems so, oh so, an appropriate view of what is occurring now.

Wow.

The 60's were turbulent, such upheaval, promising, and full of angst. Music from that era seems relevant today. Great choice, btw!

@#5 ... The 60's were turbulent, ...

Yea, tell me about it. I was there.

... Music from that era seems relevant today. ...

More than you might know.

I try to post excerpts here and there, but so much appropriate music, so little time..

So all I can say is pay attention to the ~here and there~ music links.

Jefferson Airplane - We Can Be Together
www.youtube.com

We are forces of chaos and anarchy
Everything they say we are, we are
And we are very
Proud of ourselves

Up against the wall
Up against the wall, -------------!
Tear down the wall
Tear down the wall

Come on now together
Get it on together
Everybody together
We should be together
We should be together my friends
We can be together...

LAMP

Songs, then or now. Isn't that just another brainwashing method?

Example: Charles Manson and the Beatles.

Must be why Rudy has to use a Sharpie to cover up the grey instead of the $20 box of Just For Men.

This may have been the best news of the day. I LMAO... Sucker.

What is kind of disturbing about this is as we watch Trump throw every supporter under the bus we watch his deplorable base cling to him even tighter.

These people who he said were "low class" and wouldn't be pissed on if they were on fire think he somehow looks out for their interests even as he throws his inner circle, who have likely committed crimes for him, under the bus.

Amazing.

BAAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Every moron who gets near trump thinks HE'S going to be the one who will benefit from trump and wont end up like all the other ruined careers of everyone who comes near trump. Just goes to show how stupid and impervious to learning from history and evidence republicans are.

lol... Rudy is busy mounting his own defense he was another instigator.

So Trump is going to be coming up on trial in the Senate again at some point and it has been reported that Rudy would defend him there. Probably not a good idea to stop paying the guy who you are expected to argue your trial.

Can Ex-president's debts be sent to collections? Can their homes and/or vehicles be seized?

This is an aspect of the law not many folks have expertise in...

But it'll sure be fun to watch it unfold...

He-Yump!

Total amateur move not getting payment in advance. Did he not realize who his client is?

#15 | Posted by bus_driver at 2021-01-14 06:07 PM | Reply

rudy had to charge high fees due to the likelihood of getting disbarred for his actions in representing his client.

Now hear me out: I kinda sympathize with Trump; I'd be pissed too at paying the bill after seeing the caliber of service Giuliani provided.

Memo to Rudy: TFB.

A good lawyer knows to get paid up front when dealing with a dicey case brought by an unstable client. They teach you that in first semester of first year of law school. Hell, even Michael Cohen knows that...

He is dumb as a box of rocks.
When has trump ever paid his bills.

Whaaa! I did all this terrible stuff and none of you guys rescued me! Why do you think I hire lawyers? Whaaaa!

Can Rudy fart and tuck in his shirt at the same time? That would be impressive.

Personally considering what he had to work with I think Guiliani did a stellar job. You couldn't slather enough lipstick on that pig of a case to make it fly.

Hellllllllllllll, you couldn't even drink that case pretty.

The news conference in the landscaping company parking lot surrounded by bags of bull$#!+ was the least humiliating act of buffoonery in the entire voter fraud fiasco.

#7 | POSTED BY TWINPAC

I can see that.

Charles Manson ruined a perfectly good Beatles song just like Trumpy tried to ruin ( time will tell if he succeeded) a imperfectly good democracy.

Hell, even Michael Cohen knows that...

#18 | POSTED BY CATDOG

Michael Cohen got ripped off as much anyone. Probably more. And he paid for it with his freedom.

Which gave him time to write an excellent book. He reads the audible version himself. If everyone had read it they would have known. Michael predicted much of what has happened. He told us there would not be a peaceful transition of power.

And he was right.

THIS is NOT a peaceful transition of power.

I expected DonnyOneTerm to tell Rudi he'd be pre-pardoned if he agreed to eat all his bills but apparently that was too nice for him in tRump's eyes.
But Rudi really needs the money, judging by what Dominion is about to rip from Powell's carcass.

#26 | Posted by northguy3 at 2021-01-16 04:23 PM | Reply

Most people would be arrested for not paying their bill.

But for Trump, it's just another reason why Republicans admire him.
