Trump's Dreadful Foreign Policy Legacy

The Trump administration spent years ramping up the confrontation with China, with little to show for it. The "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran only redoubled Tehran's development of nuclear materials. Russian efforts to undermine NATO have continued undeterred. And U.S. relations with traditional allies have grown more frayed.

To be fair extracting ourselves from Afghanistan I'm as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow will take a big slice out of the opiate addiction trade. The only reason we are there is to guard the poppy fields in another case circular firing squad scenario as we did in Iraq.

So fmr Pres Obama had to clean up after fmr Pres George W. Bush let the economy in shambles.

Now it looks like Pres-elect Biden will have to clean up after Pres Trump leaves our foreign policy and foreign relations in shambles.

But that begs the question... why do Republicans seem to be so good at destroying things?
